Wingate by Wyndham Convention Ctr Closest Universal Orlando

We stayed here for 10 days. Our stay was exceptional in the hotel. No complain at all. Staff is great. Always greet when we come in to the hotel. Breakfast was fine too. They offer shuttle service to Universal. If you plan to go to Universal, this hotel is perfect. I would stay here again and recommend family and friends.

Second time staying here. Always clean and family friendly.

The property was clean. Free breakfast was offered which made it easier for my family. Very close to Universal Studios too. Nice reception area with great workers.

Hotel is definitely outdated, attention to even the smallest detail is not there. The front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired. The free breakfast was ok. The price ($113) we paid wasn’t such a great deal but should be what they always charge I would have been very upset had I paid more. The plumbing when running the bath was extremely loud and vibrated the wall and was obnoxious. I-4 traffic can be heard from the room, light sleepers definitely need earplugs. When on the 4th floor of the 4 floor hotel the elevator button points up. The fire suppression system is sticking a good 1-2 inches out of the ceiling. The shower curtain is not the right width or length resulting in water all over the bathroom floor and entry. There is no parking fee which is great but the front desk attendant made it sound like the parking lot wasn’t safe mentioning we should try to park as close to the building as possible, which scared the daylights out of me since I was there with my young child for a specialty doctors appointment the next. We won’t stay there again should we need to return to the area.

Stayed here for 3 days (we had just done 3 days at Disney) and was not disappointed. Free hot breakfast that was a godsend for kids who are picky eaters. Rooms were CLEANED every single day we were there. Staff at front desk was super nice. Just a great stay, and we would most definitely stay there again. It's a short hop to almost everything you want to do in Orlando.

The check in experience really set the tone for the overall experience. Because both my name and my husband’s was on the reservation, they would not allow the check in unless we were both there to present ID and a credit card each in our name. We couldn’t use one card for the reservation. He arrived hours before me and had our toddlers, and they would not allow him to check in. It was the silliest thing that led to so much frustration. When I finally did arrive, it took 25 minutes to get my room key. There were 2,employees doing absolutely nothing productive while we stood there waiting. They just kept pushing buttons on a keyboard and lecturing us on safety. As for the rest of the experience, the hotel was clean, but the elevator kept malfunctioning. With just three floors, it took the several minutes to travel in either direction. There were many areas that could have used repairing.

Too much marijuana in and around the premises. Breakfast was aweful, and someone cleaned our room the smoked blunt in the room. The room carpet was quite disgusting since it caused me and family to get sick on the third day.

The room had a lot of hair and the bathroom and the carpet and the wall was lifiting by the ac ,falling apart ,dirty baby crib .

The only thing our family wasn't satisfied with during our stay was the breakfast, and the fact that only one out of the two elevators worked. Thankfully, there was an IHOP nearby as well as other restaurants, and we were only on the second floor, so taking the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator wasn't that much of an inconvenience. We also paid for a pool view, which we did not receive. Unless, the view they meant was of the pool at the nearby hotel. However, those are all little things that didn't matter too much to us. We still enjoyed our stay. The room was cleaned daily. The staff was very friendly, and someone brought extra wash rags to our room when we let them know we needed them. We plan on staying here during our next trip to Universal.

Extreme miscommunication. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone, my other family members stayed here too and had a terrible experience as well as our window leaking and there windows. Maintenance never checked on them the entire rest of week we were there about that. Cleanliness wasn’t that high and the elevators kept going out for two days
