We came as a couple for our first night out as parents of a young child and were very disappointed. This is rated as a 4 star hotel, but we’ve had way better service from 2 star motels. First impressions can set the tone of a stay and our check in experience was far from that of a luxury hotel. The agent wasn’t friendly at all. They offer guests prosecco at check in and we were told “no” when we asked about it because the room wasn’t ready (at our 4:30 pm arrival)… that left a sour taste for sure. And then when we returned after getting a text that the room was ready, we waited while another woman was talking to the other check in agent while waiting for her room to be ready and, you guessed it - she was drinking her courtesy glass of Prosecco and was even offered a refill. Additionally, the pool area needs a lot of work and didn’t even have music playing. Thankfully a nearby rooftop pool was having happy hour and had a dj playing good music within earshot. We ordered mojitos from the bar, which are a staple in Miami, and they were not made with fresh lime & mint and were full of artificial sour mix and sweeteners. We couldn’t even finish them and stuck to beer. The room was clean, but worn. Would not return or recommend a stay there if you’re looking for anything close to luxury because there are tons of other hotels in south beach that’ll provide better a better experience.

As it was near to south beach we selected this property. But bathroom arrangement was not family friendly.

The 730am, 20 minute long emptying of the 25 dumpsters was least to be desired EVERY SINGLE MORNING of our stay. It was impossible to sleep through as it sounded like a construction site right outside our window. Also, extremely awkward to walk right through the middle of a restaurant to get to the elevator to get to our room, unfortunately it was the only path to get there. Wouldn’t recommend staying with friends as there is no privacy in the bathrooms, no proper doors to close the bathroom and the shower you can be seen right through the glass when entering the room. Hot if you are with your spouse but not for your family or friends. Everyone was friendly, room was clean.

This has got to be by far the WORSE hotel I have stayed at in my life!! A total nightmare!! STAY AWAY! BOOK ELSEWHERE!
Customer service is a joke. Rude girls at the front, they double charged me, and even over charged me. I had to make several calls to get my bill fixed. It's "supposed" to be fixed now, but not sure as of yet.
They gave me a room above a bar/restaurant that plays music so loud from 8:00 AM until 3:00 AM in the morning! The room has no lighting in it. It is so dark I felt like I was in someone's basement, I kid you not! The window is so small, about 18" x 18" that is no joke, and I'm being generous. It is actually behind the bed. The mattress is that of a large futon foam mattress. So don't expect to get any sleep.
I had to take the elevator downstairs (you enter through the bar and restaurant-literally), across a courtyard and to the front desk to get a bucket of ice that is under lock and key in a room behind the front desk. I have never stayed at a place that had to "lock" up their ice! We had a modeling magazine photoshoot at the Versace Mansion and I wanted to stay close for convenience. I looked at the Victor hotel. Some of the other models chose that one. I should have too! My bad decision. Their photos of the property were very good compared to my "frat house room."

This was my 3rd year staying and it’s always a ~dream~ My few complaints would be they do not call you when the room is ready, so I would recommend staying close to the hotel to keep checking every hour or so if you check in before 3. I was told I was complimentary upgraded which I was so excited because it was my birthday week, but it was a regular room. Even after I explained they did not change the room which was disappointing. The luggage men and the courtesy luggage storage is the BEST! Our flight didn’t leave till 8 so we checked out left our bags and we’re free to roam the rooftop pool and everything else.
Beware if you like coffee and breakfast they have none, but naked taco js AMAZING and they treat you like family. Room service is amazing, food was hot and they respect when you have the do not disturb sign on.
Overall love you dream! Hoping to get some marketing opportunities with y’all

They lost my reservations and insisted I didn’t have them. I had email confirmations from Expedia which didn’t seem to help. I reserved two rooms through Expedia and my family reserved 5 other rooms. One would think with 7 rooms they would be pleased to have us. I had to argue with the front desk to get our rooms. Terrible start to a stay in South Beach.

We were able to check in early, because the room was available. This was great for me because I am pumping, even though our baby was not with us. I specifically asked to check in early, they said if the room was available no problem. We also discussed a late check out via email that I have from hotels.com, then on the day of check out they called our cell phones and room 3 times, which we explained we had a late check out. They also had someone lnocking on our door at 8:30AM, 11:30AM. After leaving the beach the second day we return to the cleaned room, the ceiling had fallen. My boyfriend put it back, as we were in town for an away NFL game and did not have time to stop at front desk, which was crowded before leaving in our uber. At check out they seemed somewhat rude that we waited until the next morning to tell them about the ceiling, and stated we should of told them about our late checkout. Which i discussed via email before traveling to the property. They also made me show them my reservation confirmation with late check out. The elevator is old and only takes you to the rooftop, which we had other guests filing complaints. We had to take the stairs the entire stay. Naked taco is the only good thing about this property. Rooftop was pretty too, did not have enough time to enjoy it. Beach access and chairs were also great as they were included.

My stay at The Dream was a dream. The hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent. I experienced no problem and would stay again. It was also right off the strip and within walking distance to everything I needed. The pool could be a little larger and deeper but it was actually fine. Perfect spot to chill out with your mate. I just wished it stayed open longer past 7 pm at least until midnight for a better adult vibe especially since there’s always music playing. My last comment would be that although I love kids they should not be at this hotel because the pool area is mostly consumed by coupled adults with drinks and sometimes very revealing bathing suits. I was in the pool with my boyfriend and a couple had 2 kids who came in splashing water everywhere while all adults were chilling and hugged up with their mates. How awkward but that’s on the parents. The next day another woman had her son while she and her friends had on thong bathing suits. Lol
