The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami

Expect to pay for everything! Honestly, Expedia should absolutely list both the $50 per day for parking and $50 per day resort fee in their listing for this hotel. In addition, if you want to do anything or sign your kids up for anything - all starting at about $50 per kid. Food was good but also expensive ($200 for a family of 4 for burgers on the beach). While staff and personnel are lovely and friendly, helpful and overall a 5 out of 5, the fact that you pay for everything just gets old quickly. There is nothing included in your hotel room price, including apparently even your toiletries which the hotel says you will be charged for should you choose to take them home as a memento for a whopping $50 per item!!! Wow! For a five star hotel in a very expensive area, you’d think the game room and teen room would be updated, clean, beautiful areas for kids. They were an afterthought at best, with old equipment in old converted rooms with little to no space and dated equipment. Arcade games were ancient or broken with random broken furniture and old stained carpets. Just don’t have a game room if that’s what you’re going to offer. It was gross honestly. The beach is tiny, full of seaweed and there is a lot of garbage. The nicer beaches are either over by the lighthouse or just off the Ritz’s beach. While we generally enjoy the beaches wherever we go we avoided this one. Not to mention it was full, full, full. The pros: good food, great staff, nice location. The cons: overpriced

It would have been helpful to know in advance about the large conerence taking place during our time there as it took over the space in a pretty invasive way and on Monday, 4/15, there was only one place for our kids to eat at and we had just eaten dinner there the night before. Despite the restaurant saying it was closing at 1pm that day, it was not open at 12pm. Some open communication to the other guests about how the conference would have limited things would have been helpful. On the positive side, Guests Services were amazing in helping us to prepare for our daughter's 8th birthday, so thank you!

Wonderful property. Great for families. Service is what you would expect from Ritz Carlton

We absolutely loved everthing about this property. I want to especially communicate what makes this place special. Your staff that go above and beyond for their guests. Having witnessed numerous entitled people and their children,and the patience,kindness and professionalism displayed despite the obnoxiousness of some of the guests(mostly with children).As a parent myself I was horrified at the public display of careless,spoiled and no boundary behaviors of these people and their spawn. Yet your wonderful staff rose above with a smile and courteous care. Everyone from the front desk, to the pool to every resturant was pleasant and elegant. I especially would like to mention Jannus who was our waiter and Rolondo our breakfast waiter were so wonderful. The beds were so comfortable, the rooms were so cheerful and clean, Your housekeeping staff friendly and helpful.The front desk staff were amazing on every level. We can't wait to visit again!

We had a five star family rest !

Nice family hotel resort with the option to relax in adult designated pool and spa areas. Would expect a Hotel like the Ritz-Carlton to have a nice gourmet resteraunt focusing on adults.

Staff was very courteous. Very clean Environment. Concierge checks in with you everyday. Food is delicious at Light Keepers and the Mexican Restaurant. Beautiful grounds. Adult only pool and jacuzzi and family pool with water amenities for kids. Balcony views are breathtaking.

Everything was incredible! The staff was welcoming and helpful, the room was beautiful and spacious with incredible views and the resort had plenty of entertainment for our kids and ourselves (great food, tennis, pool, beach, and even a small water park).

I read the reviews and was worried about the hotel being up to par with other Ritz Carlton's. Even though the rooms are not as fancy as other Ritz's, you still get the beautiful location and excellent service. You don't spend much time in the room anyway but I ungraded to Club Level which I highly recommend for the kids and adult drinks and snacks.

This hotel really has the best service in Florida and day make and extra effort making families with kids feel welcomed. We have a 14 month old baby and would strongly recommend anyone with children to stay at this hotel.
