Best Western Plus Lake City

Ok overnight stay for the family on the way to the beach. Front desk staff was fine but the other staff was not very friendly or helpful. Trying to get on the elevator and the housekeeping staff were talking and prevented us from getting on before the door closed-minor inconvenience but perhaps the support staff needs to be trained in better hospitality.

We have been coming to this hotel for the last 3 years and always enjoy our stay for our family reunion yearly. I'm especially grateful for the 2 ladies that were there when I checked in on Friday, June 30th around 5:30pm. Very very nice, helpful, and accommodating! We will certainly be back next year again.

Pulling up I began to question whether I picked a good/safe place to stay at for the night with my family or not. As I entered I felt more safe than other places looked on the same road. I came to check in later than I would have liked, due to traffic situations, and there I was greeted with a sign that said he was away from the counter helping customers. After waiting over 5 minutes the young man began to return to his front counter station. While checking in I asked about the two free beverages that I was offered in my booking. He told me they were bottles of water. The room was a suite and was just big enough for the furniture in it. Every time you opened the bathroom door the shower mat was moved. Unpacking the fold out bed was like playing Tetris. Breakfast and the guy preparing the breakfast was this places saving grace. He was very polite and was extremely effective at keeping hot food served and the area clean. The food was very good and kept me and my family fueled for hours.

When I first got there , I was turned down because I asked if early check in was available due to traveling 4 and 1/2 hours. It said on website it was available if room was ready, then I was told no and had to pay extra. But once I checked in at 3pm, everything was wonderful. Room looked brand new, smelled clean, breakfast was something the kid sliced to make their own plate. The breakfast lady was friendly and the guy that actually checked me in also. Pool area was very nice although it was a cold day.

Good clean hotel. Room was very quiet for being so close to interstate. Breakfast was of high quality for what most would consider a standard hotel continental breakfast. The suite we had was a good size and had a door separating off rooms. Indoor pool was pretty cold so the kids didn’t stay in very long but overall a good stay

Room appeared to be okay but saw a roach in the room. I was moved to another room with a problematic AC and sweated it out all night. The family and i woke up groggy due to fear of roaches and warm conditions in the room
