Holiday Inn Express & Suites Alachua - Gainesville Area, an IHG Hotel

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel! Everyone was really friendly. It was very clean and well maintain. They also have a pool where me and our family really enjoyed the most of it!

Kids and I loved the comfortable beds and the black out blinds. We were able to get a great night sllep. AC was quite and not like other places that would wake you up each time it kicked on. Breakfast was also very good and check in/out was the easiest Ive ever had.. Holiday Inn Express is the perfect place to stay at everytime we leave home and will recommend to ALL my family and friends.

OVERALL The entire property is impeccably clean and smelled nice. Every staff member I encountered was incredibly nice and helpful. Free breakfast was small, but an absolute plus. ROOM/BATHROOM My kids and I each had our own bed (2 queens plus a sofa bed) so we all slept well. The beds were very comfortable with ample pillows. There was bedding for the sofa bed in the drawers...no need to call the lobby for extra linens. The bathroom was well lit with plenty of space. I had a hard time with the shower. I couldn't quite figure out how to turn it on/off or make it hotter/colder. This was most likely user error...i was incredibly tired! LOCATION We had a gymnastics competition at Alachua Sports and Event Center. We chose this hotel due to it's proximity to the complex (about 20mins). It's right by the interstate, so that's a plus (not close enough for interstate noise...suoer quiet). There are plenty of dining options around this hotel.It was so important that we were able to grab a full meal prior to our sports event.

Perfect room for our family of 6. With 2 queen beds and a pull out couch bed, everyone had a place to sleep. It was comfortable and clean.

Excellent property! We stayed during the power out time from hurricane Idalia. The hotel is pet friendly and due to the emergency circumstances we were not charged the fee pet. Front staff was very accommodating and welcoming. An issue with the tv remote was immediately addressed and fixed. This a the hotel I recommend to family and friends when they come to visit and it has been consistently an excellent choice.

We got in at about 1am. Upon entering our room there was a strong musty/cigarette smell. We pulled out the sleeper sofa and there was trash and stains and hair on the mattress protector. There was no bedding in the room for the sleeper sofa so I had to go back down to the desk. The front desk person did ask if I wanted to change rooms, but since it was now close to 1:30 am and my husband and 4 kids were just ready to get some sleep, I opted to stay in the room. Overall, we were disappointed in our stay. We chose this hotel because we have stayed at this property before with no issues, but I doubt we will stay again.

From start to finish this property and staff were perfect. I felt it was a safe place to bring my child and not too far from our main destination Ginnie Springs.

We stay here when visiting family in the area. The hotel is new and very clean. Good buffet breakfast.

When we checked in they told us that the hot tub pool and fire pit were under construction and hoped it would be fixed that evening ! When we checked out it still was fixed any of it! The smell in the hallway was of dirty diaper! My son and his fiancé mentioned it first ! The hallways were lined with trash cans and housekeeping carts ! Never saw a cleaning lady ! When I spoke to the front desk since we drove 6 hours and were meeting family there and wanted to use the amenities she told me we could use the gym😡
