Disney's Contemporary Resort

Perfect family vacation!

We love to walk to the Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary! But that's about where the justification for the extra high rates ends. The pool slide is ok but the water was cold. The sand volleyball is fun but shouldn't it be easy to find a volleyball to play with? Our 1st visit to the Contemporary was a couple years ago when my son was 5 and the staff went above and beyond to make him feel special. This time the front desk ignored him when he tried to ask a question about "hidden Mickeys". He tried several times and he wasn't interrupting or being rude. So after he tried a few times, I asked the same question and the Cast Member answered me. Odd. Also, I'd forgotten but the noise from the restaurant is really loud so if you are a light sleeper and not a wake-up-at-the-crack-of-dawn type person.... those little childrens' screams of delight at the character breakfast (which they should be screaming!) are precious but annoying.

We had a toddler and a child with a broken foot and the close proximity to the Magic Kingdom made life easier. The staff and facilities are magical!

After transporting to Magic Kingdom with family was told at the front gate that we couldn’t go in because our magic bands were not linked up to Resort. Front desk failed to link up my family accounts. That was frustrating but compounded by the fact that when I called resort customer service they told me it was my fault. Next person I called took 30 min to tell me nothing and final third person after and hour and half told me how to link up my magic band to get it.
