Hampton Inn Ft Walton Beach

Great location and the size of the room was adequate for our family. Definitely on the list of possible revisit places. Only negative is the that some of the pictures were very edited and deceiving (ex:pool size).

Convenient access to beach, breakfast was decent, hotel location is close to shopping and restaurants. We saw a few people walking to nearby storefronts, but I wouldn't recommend that if you have children as it is a very busy, heavy traffic area so keep that in mind.

It was an amazing place to stay. My family love it too! The room was clean. My son also enjoyed the breakfast.

Probably one of the best most affordable places to stay the kids were comfortable. Me and my wife are comfortable very convenient next to the beach. It was pretty cold in the hotel though. Overall breakfast was bomb. Service was great. Definitely coming back.

This was a last minute booking for our large family, bc the condo we were staying at was booked for the last two days needed of our week stay (needed two more days last minute). We have 6 humans and 2 dogs. The stay was fine. It’s a great location, a little shotgun style no frills hotel in the middle of larger ones. The pool is the size of a postage stamp on the side (no ocean view). We had one of the few ocean view suites, it was roomy enough considering it was just a one room, and the balcony was great. The bed comfort was average. The room was clean, the frequent use areas (lobby/halls) could def use more frequent cleaning and are a bit worn but I know help is hard to come by in these times. I would rate it an excellent review, if it was priced accordingly. But I paid about $1,500 for just two nights. I expect a higher caliber for that. But booking late in the game, with pets, over a holiday weekend = rip off. Other than that, it was just fine.

Our family enjoyed our stay! The hotel staff were awesome. Raven, Nicole, and the maintenance staff were wonderful. Very nice, helpful, kept the hotel clean, and hot fresh breakfast each morning. Hotel right on the beach, and every room has its own balcony or patio.

Staff is very polite. They only let 4 rooms do late check out per day. However, when I asked the day prior to leaving if I could get a late check out they said "yes, just let the desk know the day of leaving". There were no stipulations that only 4 rooms were allowed per day. If you don't mind the smell of weed constantly in the hallways then this is the place for you. Given it's not legal in the state of FL I figured I'd be fine to take my children. Get to the breakfast buffet before 9am. Even though they say "6-10" they really mean 6-9am. Nothing will get refilled unless you complain that it says it's open until 10am. We're not early rising family on vacation so we figured going down by 9:00 would be sufficient. Not so much though. Make sure you check your bill too...if you're like my family you Uber's to the hotel and did NOT register a vehicle for your stay yet were charged for parking. I did tell the dorky desk upon check out and it was removed. So no harm done. If I wouldn't have verified the charges were correct then I would have paid an extra $75. The beach access is amazing and there are plenty of places to walk to eat. So it is very conveniently located. I guess the price is strictly because of the beach access.
