Courtyard Fort Walton Beach-West Destin

Excellent spot to vacation with family. But Very difficult and time consuming leaving room —only one elevator the entire stay and 15 -30 minutes to leave each time. Soap dispenser empty. Ice machine was always empty. Beach entrance “wash your feet” fountain not working. So track sand in everyday.

Enjoyable experience with the grandkids

So upon arrival we learned we had to go up a floor to reach the lobby. Parking area is under hotel. I booked this hotel because their photos give off the idea that the hotel is on the beach. My in-laws are 70 and have a hard time walking and wanted to see the beach. The photos gave off a vibe that you walk out the door to a poolside beach. There is actually an elevated walkway that you have to take to reach the beach that goes down but the walk back up was pretty tough. Also I hopped floors for two days and all the ice machines weren’t functioning. I had to go to the front desk to get ice. If you have any trouble walking be careful where you book. The room was clean, and most of the staff was friendly. however the reason we took the trip was so they could enjoy the beach however they never made it to the sand so it was a waste of $500 for the room and the 4 hour drive to get there. I did voice my concern when we arrived but we were locked in with expedia and no rooms were available in the area so we had to stay. I’m posting an honest review for others. This would be a great place for families with children .

Excellent visit. I stayed 4 nights. I had my 2 children with me. The room was clean. The hotel was spotless. The kids loved the pool -daily. And the beach was a plus. I only wish there was an EV charger on site that i could have charged my vehicle. I would not hesitate to stay again on my next visit.
