The hotel and room were very nice, but the rooms at the end of the hall are barely 2/3 the size of a standard room. Quite cramped - should be called, and charged as, a junior room…

I had a lovely stay as this beautiful small hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was well designed and so pleasant. Everyone was very kind to my little granddaughter, staying there with her parents, but who spent a lot of time in my room too. We had a wonderful family dinner the one night we were there -- great food, great service. Wonderful stay.

The Study is a great spot to stay and be close to Yale University. Stylish, clean, modern, slightly minimalistic rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful aesthetics in the lobby and common areas. I didn’t get to try the restaurant or room service, so can’t comment on that, but the whole vibe of the place was great. A 5-10 minute walk to everywhere I needed to get to on campus and local shopping, while completely avoiding some of the less savory parts of New Haven. As a single traveler who needed to be close to campus for a conference, The Study fit my needs perfectly. I think it’d be good for a couple, as well. Not so sure if I’d recommend it for a family of 3 or more— at least the room I was in was a bit on the small size. Overall, an excellent choice at a good price point.

I booked 3 rooms at "The study at Yale" from hotels.com, which include 2 rooms 12/3-12/5/2022. 12/5/2022 morning I requested 2 hours late checkout since we have a disabled senior and 2 young kids, and our flight was after 6pm, but the lady at front desk rejected me. Then I offered to pay our late checkout, she rejected it arrogantly again. I am a Hotels.com Gold member and have benefits include "a two hour late checkout". But if "The Study at Yale" doesn't care hotels.com, 3rd part business, I OFFERED paying our late checkout for my disabled husband and 2 young grand daughters. The hotel comment said: the front desk ask everyone of us how was our stay... I don't think any one asked me, maybe she asked some family else. I don't recommend "The study at Yale". Thanks!

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoy staying at The Study as well as the accommodating staff there (especially the awesome manager at the front desk). We live in Wisconsin and our youngest now attends Yale. Walking in the door there feels like walking into a family. The manager even helped me find some cardboard boxes to use to help my freshman daughter move out from her dorm at the end of the school year! It is within walking distance to the campus and great restaurant choices around. My only hesitation of giving a positive review is that it is so busy and books up so far in advance that I selfishly do not want this great secret out because I am sad when I cannot stay there during our visits when they are already booked up... ha ha ha! But The Study truly deserves the highest marks.
