Nordic Inn

We stayed in the detached chalet at the Nordic Inn which was perfect for our family (5 adults, 1 pup). There were 2 queen beds sharing a bathroom on the spacious loft floor, and 2 smaller bedrooms sharing a bathroom on the first floor, where there was also a kitchen and small living room. There was no dining room but plenty of space for eating on either the front porch or upstairs porch. Amazing central location, expansive views, and ample parking. Being able to ride our bikes directly to the MTB trails was awesome. Could use some more chairs on the porches, but luckily we brought some of our own folding chairs for lounging. The property is outdated and somewhat run down but everything worked fine. Very dog friendly!

The location was beautiful! The chalet we stayed in was perfect for our family. It was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was one of the biggest spreads I've ever seen for a continental breakfast and it was delicious!!

Views were great., the rooms were spacious and beds comfortable qith all amenities. Many stairs to get to the room. The pearl room has the sink and toilet in separate rooms with the jacuzzi along the way which was confusing for kids and a bit difficult to maneuver in general. Staff was friendly and room was clean. The jetted tub was ON when we entered and wouldn't turn off all the way which was a bit loud at night not to mention energy wasting.

Positives: Staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive to questions and requests. The house/lodge was very nice. The breakfast in the Inn was basic, but got the job done. Recommend adding oatmeal. The living rooms and kitchen were very spacious. Great layout if you took the entire house and have some control over tenant use. We had no problems, but I think there were only 2-3 other couples staying in the lodge during our stay. It would be VERY interesting with a full house and kids. Negatives: The Teocalli Room is located in the basement of a three story walk-out house and the wooden floor between the 2nd and 3rd stories made it easy to hear the upstairs neighbor. The window in our room was broken. They provided floor fan, but we had to open the basement door of the house to get the cool air in and into the room. This would be a very bad situation in the height of summer. The 1/2 shower glass makes it easy to flood the bathroom floor.

My family and I stayed at the 3 bedroom chalet. It is very spacious and we enjoyed the amount of room we had but definitely needs some updating. The rooms had a weird bad smell and we found a worm in the bathtub. The kitchen and bathrooms need an upgrade, the second floor terrace door has a huge gap in the bottom that lets all kinds of insects in, so we covered that gap with a rolled up towel; and the breakfast selection wasn’t at all comparable to hotels that include breakfast. Staff was nice and courteous, but I think they are short staffed and trying to do the best they can so we didn’t complain while we were there. All in all, I don’t think I would stay here again. For the price, I’m sure I could find a nicer place.
