Mountain Chalet Snowmass

Had a one night stay with the family on our way back to San Diego. Staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful. No complaints there. The room however…a different story. Very old and outdated! The bathroom and shower were tiny! No hand holds or grip tape in the shower. The bath towels were more like hand towels. The room was about 80+ degrees as well. When we turned on the AC, it was so loud we could barely sleep. Tried to tun on the ceiling fan to circulate some air and it didn’t work. They did have complementary coffee and tea, but no ice machine to found. At least not on our floor. They do offer a complementary breakfast starting at 0730. We left before then so I can not tell you what they serve. Parking was about a quarter mile away from the actual building up a pretty steep hill, so be prepared for that walk back at about 9500 feet. There was a loading area for dropping off passengers and luggage though. The place itself was not overly expensive or overpriced for a place so close to Aspen…but you definitely get what you pay for.

We had such a great stay here. It is a little older, but it does not take anything away from the experience. The little patios are adorable, the rooms are fairly spacious, and you can’t beat the location. The staff are amazing, and they will help you every step of the way. We had an assortment of issues (on our end, not theirs), including a sick toddler and a super late check-in. They were so great. Thanks for everything!

Don't beleive the other reviews... this place is an amzing value for Snowmass. The "dated" complaint is false. Sure the door knobs and shower head need to be updated but otherwise the palce was clean, soft sheets, comfortable beds, humidifier's in each room, plusmicrowave and fridge, ski storage at the door ( this place is truly ski in /out, hot choclate in the lobby, great meeting space for families n the lobby too, hot tub and pool htat were awesome, daily hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes one day, eggs sausage, french toast the other), free shuttle to the airport, excellent internet, snowmass mall steps from front door and super helpful front desk staff. I cant wait for Phish to play in the summer here so I can come visit again.
