We enjoy being close to family. The staff is awesome, from front desk to housekeeping. Breakfast is standard free breakfast. Hotel has bumps and scrapes, you can hear some noises from room above and next door, but it didn’t disturb us. Location is great for San Bruno family. This was our 4th stay.

Great place to stay it was a family of 4 for us, breakfast was delicious and had some nearby places for us to go eat walking distance has a underground garage , so no need to look for parking , only complaint that I have is I woke up maybe once or twice due to the airplanes going off at night but other then that great hotel so close to everything , would definitely recommend

We absolutely loved our stay! We were able to check in a few hours earlier than the normal 3pm check-in and "Pria" (sp) the manager took care of us. The hotel is spotless! Our room was extremely clean. I came with my Clorox wipes and Lysol but the room was super clean. I loved the area - shops, restaurants, a mall less than 5 min away. The hotel has a small underground garage but we were always able to find parking. Safe neighborhood we walked to a restaurant the manager recommended. Hotel provided complimentary breakfast. My family loved the waffles. Lol. On our next visit to Cali we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Upon first glance it seemed like an older property from the outside but once we were inside you could tell that they have taken the time to update and upkeep the rooms and exterior. The rooms are a little dated but very clean. As parents of little kids, we try to make sure the bathroom is clean and is it and comfortable! Every room is named after animals, scenery, very cute touch. The restaurant has a cute patio with outdoor seating and had live music from The Jammin Fil-Ams over the Summer. Fun and casual atmosphere to enjoy drinks and food. The gym is open 24 hours.

We stayed one night with kids in between flights. Firstly, the hotel is a 10-15 min drive from the airport, but the area does not feel safe and on the way we passed several hotels that appeared to be located in better locations but in a similar price range. You do not want to arrive late at night with kids. The free shuttle is advertised as a benefit. First of all, essentially all hotels located this close to the airport have shuttles available and many more well-known hotels have their own shuttles that run more often and almost 24/7. Hotel Aura is part of a shuttle operation that stops at several other low-cost hotels and is only available limited hours of the day. We had to pay $35 taxi to get to the hotel as we had missed the last shuttle. A few comments regarding the hotel experience. Upon arrival (midnight), we were specifically told that our kids need to keep quite to not disturb other guests. Arriving very late, we slept as long as we could and went down to breakfast 20 min before it ended. At this time, most of the food was gone (had not been refilled) and there were no plates or forks available. The minute the breakfast ended, we were told to leave the area as they needed to clean the tables. We had to disconnect the refrigerator in the middle of the night as it started to make a loud and unbearable noise. And without a doubt the most unacceptable part was that there was dried blood in the bed. Highly recommend choosing another hotel, especially with kids.

I was really disappointed by this hotel because the only reason that I booked it was because it was near the airport and had a shuttle. Nothing on the webpage about the hotel indicated that the shuttle was limited, and a lot of comments from other guests said that you just spoke with staff to make arrangements. When we check in, we’re shown a schedule that indicates that the shuttle’s last pickup in the morning is at 9am and it doesn’t start picking up again until around 5pm. So it completely abandons folks like us who had an afternoon flight and we’re hoping to sleep in a bit in the morning. When I asked staff why they didn’t advertise in advance that the shuttle was limited, they didn’t have a good answer - just that you were told at check in. They said it’s a commercial shuttle so they couldn’t do anything to call one for us. Their only solution was to offer to call a taxi at our expense. In terms of the hotel generally, I think most people we interacted with were friendly. I found the beds to be firm but comfortable. I have no complaints about the room. The continental breakfast was *very* limited, but better than nothing. I would consider staying again if I knew I needed the shuttle specifically during the limited hours that it operates, but for my purposes it was a bust and resulted in an unnecessarily expensive Uber trip for our family to go the two miles to the airport.

Perfect for an overnight from the airport before or after a flight. Very clean and well maintained. Light breakfast. Across the street was a comfortable family Mexican Restaurant that was a 1 minute walk. Perfect place for the purpose. Will stay again.

Was looking for an affordable overnight option before flying international, but it turned into a disaster. Our car window got smashed to get a kids backpack. The amount of savings compared to the car damage isn’t even close. A worked told us he keeps his windows rolled down to prevent this from happening so it’s clearly not a rare event. They have plenty of security cameras in the garage as well. Not saying it’s the hotels fault but just know that this is the neighborhood that you are in.
