Signia by Hilton San Jose

There was one incident where I took my kids outside at the park across the street to light sparklers for the 4th of July. When we came back in we sat at the chairs of the lobby (as shown in the picture as I write this review). My kids were excited that they were doing cartwheels and running to one chair to the next chair to sit. Well a worker told us that we couldn't be there because they were jumping off the chairs so we needed to leave. I let him know that they were not jumping and why do we have to leave? He told my boyfriend that he will let us stay but next time we have to leave. I was very upset with this and took my kids to the room.

This was our family’s first suite at the Hilton. Normally we could only afford a standard room at a lower end hotel. But this time because of my birthday I felt the need to treat myself out a little. We love the spacious suite! We were able to move around the room more comfortably compared to previous stay with other hotels. Initially we were told the pool were closed due to some maintenance and we were very disappointed because we chose this hotel other others because of the pool. However after we checked in and thanks goodness the pool finally opened. Our kids enjoyed swimming on the rooftop. Valet parking was a bit expensive, we wished there was a self parking garage. Overall experience was great! I wish we could afford to stay at the Hilton more often for our future getaways.

Hotel was very clean and staff is top notch me and my family loved our stay here. The only downside is like every California big city is the homeless and drug users around the property. It was great being walking distance to discovery museum and tech museum as well as San Pedro square or even clubs if your into it. Only issue is the walk there you’ll never know what you come across. Relatively safe just be aware of your surroundings if your traveling with young ones

My family and I were impressed by the hotel. The staff was attentive, quick at checking us in, offering suggestions for dinner, letting us know about all of amenities. This was a quick family getaway.

It is obvious the Fairmont experience is a distant memory. This is definitely a Hilton with its no frills experience. We had the junior suite, and it was an old and tired room. After checking in, we also discovered that we had to pay for Wifi since we weren’t Hilton Honors members. However, this discovery was made after spending time on the phone with IT. Yes, IT! On Vacation! The saving grace of the experience was Renzo, who was lovely and helpful, and the valet attendants. I would not stay here again. I also don’t think I would choose Hilton hotels as my first choice if there are other competitive options.
