SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Diego Oceanside/Downtown

Would stay here over and over!! For a family of four the breakfast every morning was wonderful and that helped keep cost down! We arrived very early on the day for our check-in. And they were very accommodating and let us use the facility and hold our luggage while we toured the city. The rooftop pool and hot tub was wonderful, everything was clean and bright. We would visit this hotel again in a heartbeat. The location is perfect. It is one block from the pier we took a walk down the beach every single morning and every single night.

Within walking distance of everything - beach, food, shopping, entertainment. Hotel has lots of great common spaces. We traveled with our 9 year old son and there were lots of families out and about. Can’t beat the location.

My family and I enjoyed our entire stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times. We are looking forward to visiting again soon. 😊

Updated: from 5 to 4 stars because the already late check in time of 4 was almost at 5 ( room not ready)...almost let this slide but on Sunday night (we stayed over Memorial weekend) a raucous group of drunken yuppies and their misbehaved children (like 25 kids) were cannon balling in the scenic toof top hottub and being loud, rude and splashing near dry areas. The parents were littering booze bottles (glass!) and cans everywhere. A zoo, and different experience from the first nights. This is a holiday weekend, so I tried to be more forgiving on the review. The 3 hour long free breakfast buffet was pretty good. Enough to redeem themselves for the room error... oj/juices, milks cereals, oatmeal, fruits, bagels, eggs, bacon, pastries and waffle station (cool waffle irons like the Mickey ones at Disneyland but w/Marriott logo). Everything is in walking distance,nearly right off the coast. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi/spa were clean and barely anybody there most days we stayed. Valet and the proximity to the beach made this the easiest day, especially with kids/baby in tow. I know there were multiple complaints as iterated by the gal at the front desk. Valet patkimg made the stay a breeze, nice boys. ..

I had to wait to check out ice cream to my room while an entire family was being checked in. There needs to be a quick room pay for items from the shop. The ice cream was liquid by the time I could get to the counter

I like the walkable location of the property but I do not like it is right next to the train tracks. I also was not happy that I get charged for destination amenity fee of $35.00. I did not even use any of the amenity of the hotel. My family just need a bed to sleep in. This amenity fee should be only optional for those who want to avail of it.

The kids love the pool. It was nice and warm. The balcony was big and perfect for the family.

This property was 2 blocks from the beach. Clean comfortable room, with room for a family of 5. Close walk to restaurants, bars, and shops in the downtown town area.Staff was amazing and very helpful free breakfast was good,roof top pool area was great. Would definitely stay there again

We had a one night stay with our family despite some rainy weather we still got to enjoy the roof top hot tub. And gret doctor location.

This was a great hotel in a great location. The hotel had lots of amenities and our family enjoyed our time there.
