Best Western Plus Oceanside Palms

My family had a terrible experience at this hotel. Traveling with 5 kids we booked 2 rooms. We went out with family 1 evening for a few hours and when we returned we found our room door open, someone elses clothes thrown on the floor and my sons clothes taken and my daughters toiletries used. The manager was nothing but abusive to me. He denied anyone coming into our room and said he had reviewed hours of footage. When i demanded he address the issue of us not feeling safe he told me there was nothing he could do and we could leave. When i questioned his customer service skills he then "evicted" me and my 5 children. I filed a police report. Me and my family were then left to book another hotel room last minute which was incredibly costly. The manager is still denying a full refund or any accountability that his staff let people wander the halls and break into rooms. He is a liar and does not care about your family. Its clear. I was offered no apology but futher victimized after my children experienced an incredibly traumatic event. Here is a pic to prove he lied to hotels.com stating he reviewed 6 hours of footage. Once the police got involved they suddenly found the footage of someone entering our room after mark 3. Funny how things change when you get caught in a lie. Give your business somewhere else that wouldnt "evict" a family after they were robbed in a city they dont live in. Horrible.

We liked the property, nice beds, great air conditioning, breakfast was ok. Staff very helpful and friendly. Our one disappointment was we couldn't enjoy the pool or spa it was taken over by a large party of 25-30 adults and kids with food, music etc.

The staff and facilities here were excellent. The people staying here for the most part were respectful. We had a good time but our enjoyment as well as the bulk of others we spoke with were hampered by a small group of disrespectful and abusive families that decided they would monopolize the pool. One group were underage drinkers celebrating a teenage birthday party. At least a dozen people were in the room all night partying and mom showed up intoxicated late in the afternoon and then left. I was behind her while driving in around 5pm and she drove erratically and was welcomed by cheers by the teen group at the pool by 12-20 people. They essentially rented the pool for a teenage party for price of one room. This downgraded the efforts of a wonderful staff. It needs to be addressed as others at the pool were literally threatened by the mob mentality of intoxicated minors.

We were on our 11th wedding anniversary trip and it so happened to coincide with a girls soccer tournament. There were pre-teens/teens everywhere but it didn't infringe on our trip. I think the staff did a great job keeping the kids sequestered at one end of the hotel and other guests on the other end. We had a very relaxing time and would stay here again.

I’M SO UPSET ! I stayed at Best Western Oceanside Palms hotel for 3 days this last week. I was there with my 3 children. At around 3:15AM on our last night there, my children and I had been asleep for several hours when we were awoken by a large boom and glass shattering sound. We were all terrified. I thought there had been a bomb exploding followed by windows breaking, or a shooting! I jumped out of bed to see what was going on, as I went by the bathroom I saw glass all over the floor, and I realized that the shower door had shattered. We had been sleeping for hours at that point. No one was had used or was using the bathroom. I immediately went down to the front desk and reported the incident to the front desk. They came up and swept up the glass and placed it in the shower stall. We checked out of the hotel a few hours later. Now I just looked at my credit card statement and Best Western charged me $500 for the broken door! There was nothing we did at all that would have caused that door to shatter like it did. We had been sleeping for several hours when it shattered. After seeing the $500 charge I called the hotel to complain and they had me fill out an incident report. Shortly after that I received an email from the General Manager saying that in his 10 year career he had never heard of that happening before and they sent an “expert” to look at it and said there was no way that happened on its own. Implying that I was lying! I’m so upset at this experience.

Staff was very friendly ,excellent service. Son's girlfriend lost a necklace and it was returned to the front desk just amazing Honest employees can't thank them enough for that. Would recommend staying on the third floor because of the noise that can be created By kids jumping around. Overall great stay price was reasonable and very close to Marine Base.

Hotel felt safe and had lots of families staying. Nice and clean pool and hot tub. Breakfast included the waffles you make yourself. Wish they had a plant-based milk, though.
