This was our second stay; we visit family in Carlsbad several times a year. The Leucadia area is funky and there are great spots to eat and drink. Not to mention the beaches! We have had rooms at the back of the hotel and they are surprisingly quiet. Bed is comfortable and room is good-sized. Breakfast is awfully simple (no tea) and towels are scratchy. But daily housekeeping was a pleasant bonus!

Front desk service was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had 2 different rooms because of my late booking. Both rooms were on the second floor. We have family in the neighborhood and were able to walk back after visiting. Love this place for convenience! Coffee and snacks in the morning and a coffee shop was within walking distance.

We stayed for three nights while visiting our son and his family in Carlsbad. The location was wonderful, close to beaches, the Leucadia farmers market, and many choices for food and drink. Our bathroom was lacking a towel rack and hair dryer, but the desk clerk found a hair dryer for me. Will definitely stay here again.

Amazing seaside inn. From reservation & check in- to enjoying all of the wonderful shops, restaurants, biking lanes and easy 3 min walk to the beach. This is a hidden gem. Fabulous for a romantic getaway or families wanting a beautiful beach vacation with the kids. Rooms are sparkling clean and we had a fantastic stay. We’ll be back!

I am a rather particular traveler. I really love to open the window for fresh air. This hotel was very cute, quaint and I could open the window! Then only cons were the ridiculous "breakfast" which is not suitable for gluten free people, and the poor acoustics when you stay on the first floor. The family above me had a million kids and I could not sleep that morning. The employees are great, the location is awesome and it is a very basic, clean and comfortable hotel. Would absolutely stay there again and would forward to it!

We drove up to the hotel and immediately were disgusted with the building and knew it was not what the pictures made it like it was. After paying, I found out we’d be on the second floor and there were no elevators. I have 2 small children with lots of luggage. We tried to get the money back but they said they couldn’t refund me!!!
