Kimpton Rowan Palm Springs Hotel, an IHG Hotel

Right next to downtown. Perfect location if you want to be in the mix. Pool is not extremely family friendly. But pleased with our experience.

Had a wonderful time with my husband location of this hotel is perfect. Everything is walkable ( shopping ,restaurants, bars) , rooftop pool was so much fun it caters to adults, not many children there, which was perfect for us.

The Rowan is certainly the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed in! It’s right in the center of downtown PS, so the location could not be more convenient, walking distance to everything! The hotel staff are amazing, so kind, attentive and professional. There’s food and drink available a lot of the time and they are willing to help with anything you need. My only complaint about this hotel is the noise! We had three rooms to accommodate the 6 family members we had visiting (none of the rooms adjoined). All 6 of us could hear everything that was going on in the rooms next to us! I had to contact the front desk multiple times because the people next to us were so loud. The guest noise was of course not the hotel’s fault, it’s the paper thin walls that are the problem. For such an expensive hotel, I expected the walls to be noise-insulated, and I could hear the guests next door showering, flushing the toilet, everything. This needs to be addressed. Otherwise I would have given perfect scores across the board. Caveat: this was Coachella weekend, so maybe the level of guests were just louder? I don’t know. It’s one of my requirements that where I stay be quiet, so if you are noise-sensitive, ask for a room without neighbors on either side of possible.

Excellent location. Gorgeous views. Beautiful design and immaculate. Centrally located, at the heart of all the action in downtown Palm Springs. Dog-very-friendly. Free bike rental a plus. Backs up to Palm Springs Art Museum sculpture garden / park. Super quiet. Lovely social every evening from 4-5pm. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient coffee / restaurant on ground level. Pool is beautiful with mountain views. Room was extremely comfortable. Downtown view room was great for getting early morning view of the dawn. (Otherwise blackout drapes were great too). Parking with valet was easy. Super close (walking distance) to Farm, Melvyn's, Palm Springs Art Museum, Sephora, a cute cheese/charcuterie shop. Very LGBTQ friendly. Pool had pool chair for those with disabilities. Diverse guests. Minimal children at pool. Mostly an adult crowd. Low-key vibe. Not a total party pool.

Lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Great location for downtown Palm Springs. Only negatives - small pool area & large section reserved for guests paying additionally for a cabana - whilst we we there these were mainly empty. We stayed as a family & pool was full of large groups of drunk adults. Rooms lovely apart from sliding door to bathroom - not very soundproof !
