We had no knowledge prior of the hotel or exact location since we had never been to this part of California and live on the East coast.
It’s in a GREAT location just minutes away from the start of shops and restaurants. DEFINETELY walkable, but we are so glad we took advantage of the bikes and went much further out!
We are not bikers in general, but we made it around the town easily, to see the “movie star homes” and to hike up a Tahquitz Canyon trail to the waterfall with the coldest most refreshing water dip at the top. Not hard, but DEFINETELY uphill, with some rocky areas. I had berks on and had no problems, and small children were walking with their parents. Wear a hat and sunblock!
On top of that, the grounds were beautiful, and clean, we had use of the pool and jacuzzi. Most of the time it was quiet, with only a few people so it felt like we had the area to ourselves.
***The bed was VERY comfortable, the best place we stayed on our road trip! ***
I’m sure there is more to do there and we were given some tips by other vacationers regarding where to eat, but should have made reservations! We wanted to try Wilma & Frieda's for Breakfast (or lunch) but we’re booked. You could look up so many favorites!
Also a great vintage shop was to be found and my daughter and I got a massage at “Beautiful Massage” for an hour and a half ( full massage and 1/2 hr reflexology ) for $105. You’re not paying for the ambiance but you will get fantastic service.
Overall 5 stars.

Parking is challenging. And there are
lots of police in town. Casino shuttles
would be nice.
Great room, great service. Small pool.
But a nice family hotel.

Best western plus is our go to place to stay,, it’s kid friendly and reasonably priced. The hotel is always clean, inside and out.

This hotel has a great walking location to downtown shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice. The room we had was spacious. The room is dated, but clean. The room is not sound proof at all due to the old windows. We could hear the kids in the pool and anyone talking outside.

The front desk staff was wonderful - Thank you! They were welcoming, kind and accommodating. I had a snafu with an extra room I reserved for a family member who became ill and couldn’t make the trip with us. Both Expedia and Las Brisa resolved the situation to my satisfaction (and relief). However I was disappointed with the hotel itself overall. It was really dirty and old. The whole place needs a good power wash. The inside rooms were ok (not dirty, very clean) The elevator was the original one from the 60’s or 70’s. There was carpeting on the covered breezeways around the rooms which was odd and again rather old tired and dirty. You can tell it is a corporate venue as the whole place lacks a cohesiveness. It is a patchwork of incongruous “improvements” The building presents as a lovely Spanish style hacienda but the lobby is “fresh” and “modern” (trendy, large prints, bright colors) that certainly doesn’t go with the Spanish style. That battle axe of an elevator is just - such an eye roll. Kind of a joke. The ultimate repulsive element for me was a persistent smell of smoke. There was someone smoking on the balcony 😖😡 Eeew!! I was actually a bit repulsed by my experience of Las Brisa and my husband shared my sentiment.
