Best Western Orange Plaza

This hotel was great because it offered a REAL two bedroom suite with two queens in one room and a double in the other. Perfect for families

We stayed at this property because my boyfriends daughter has a newborn baby in the NICU with medica issues at the childrens hospital of orange. This motel was close, clean and felt safe for a good price. We needed to find hotels nearby that were affordable so we can be there for her as much as possible.

I am not one to complain or write bad reviews even if I've experienced it but this time there were just way too many minor inconveniences and issues. First of all, we arrived and were able to check in a bit early. Check in is at 3 and we checked in around 2:50, which is great. But by the time we were done checking in, our room wasn't ready yet. First we were told maybe around 5-10 mins. Then the lady at the desk says "once you see that door close that means they are done". I go to check and ask one of the room service ladies and she says it will take an hour. I go back to the front desk and she confirms it will take an hour. 5-15 mins I understand but an hour after check in is just very inconvenient. then the front desk lady tells me rooms are upon availability, which I understand if we hadn't prebooked this room. Second, later then night we ask for 6 more towels. There are 5 of us in the room and only 3 given towels. I asked for 6 bc I just wanted a few extra to save myself a trip to ask for more the next two days but when I ask first thing the front desk lady asks me is "um why do you need 6?"I think that as guests, there is really no reason to ask that. Honestly if she just had said they were short and apologized for the inconvenience it would have been fine. But the fact she even asked that made me feel a certain way. She proceeds to tell me that a family of 9 went to the beach and took a lot of towels and said somewhere along the lines of I know this isn't your problem b

Stay away if you have small kids. It's dirty, they never clean the room.

Overall check in was great, accommodating us due to late night flight arrival. Unfortunately, after checking in with Dave, when we returned to the car to get our stuff, there was a person in the parking lot who was loitering and approached me from behind while getting into the car. My adult son, who was in the car at the time, warned me to immediately close the door, as we didn't know what he would do. He (looked tweaked out) followed the car around a few times, and that's when we phoned Dave (front desk person), to let him know that this person was following us. Dave immediately searched the parking lot but he said didn't see said person. The rest of the time that we stayed there was fine. The room suited our family of 5, multiple beds, spacious. Not enough towels, so we requested more from the front desk. There was a fridge in room, no microwave, but we used microwave located in front office. Cleanliness in room could have been better, noticed dust and hair balls behind bathroom door. Breakfast was serve yourself, but there was a kind lady employee who helped to place your order on a plate (covid policy maybe?). Eggs, sausage, cereal, and fruit were breakfast options. It was quite loud surrounding the hotel - from hotel guests talking late at night (thin walls) to sirens at night, but nothing that ear plugs couldn't drown out. Starbucks was across the street so that was convenient. We would stay here again.

Front desk staff were very polite and welcoming. The room and grounds were very clean. It was a good price for the family room and was within walking distance to the Old Towne!

The staff at the hotel was friendly, polite and helpful. The room we had was tucked away in a corner and was perfect for our family. The room was clean and well stocked. My family was also impressed about the quality of the breakfast.

My family and I stayed here for three nights. I chose it for its proximity to Disneyland. It fit the requirements perfectly plus their cleanliness of the property (to include the rooms!) and the friendliness of the staff was amazing. This will be my go to place whenever I visit Disney. The only thing that caught me by surprise was they serve your breakfast. You can't touch anything. Some days the hot breakfast was better than others. Totally recommend!

We were in the City of Orange to visit a family member who is a student at Chapman University. We walked everywhere for the 4 days we were in the City of Orange after having a light breakfast provided at the motel. Nearby restaurants (about an 8 block walk) at the Plaza provided several options for dining until 10pm at night. The only problem was being able to have a hot shower in the morning as the demand from other guests competed with our supply. Take a shower before 6:30am.

The room space was a bit small for a family of 4. But since we only really used it for rest, shower and sleep, it wasn't too bad. I can tell the rooms were refreshed with new floorings and paint. It did however didn't smell too pleasant. The front desk lady was very pleasant and helpful. Overall it's an ok place to stay for its value.
