My family and I arrived early before check in around 1:30 and pre-registered. We were given a map and told what chalet number we were getting and I would get a text message when it was ready. We decided to walk around and explore the property while we waited. We drove around and passed by our designated chalet and made sure it had a fireplace. We were very excited and went to the grocery store and some essentials and firewood. We waited until 3:45 (check in is at 4) and never received a text message. Mean while other people arriving were getting rooms right away. I went back to the front desk and was finally given keys and was told we got a different chalet number. The chalet they gave us did not have a fireplace. We were very disappointed with that. When I asked why they changed our chalet I was told it was given to somebody else. I felt the staff discriminated against my family. They definitely give preference to certain people. I’m disappointed with the staff and hope they do better and treat everyone equally.

We stayed one night only because we were in town for a family reunion, and next time, I would recommend this location to our family. The staff and people all around were super friendly and kind. The cabins were equipped with everything we needed, we bought stuff at the local market to make breakfast and coffee. We had dinner at the restaurant in the resort is also very tasteful. My family and I enjoyed every moment of it.

Everyone was so helpful, and kind! We come to bass lake every summer but our first time staying at the Pines. We stayed at a chalet, and it was perfect for our family of 5. Loved being able to have a full size fridge and kitchen.

Our first time at The Pines Resort, check in was so efficient, staffs were super friendly and very helpful! Cabins were clean and had everything we needed. Great family fun on site and dined at Ducey’s on the lake. Food and service was amazing. Our family will definitely be back to Pines Resort.

Charged a small resort fee. Fitness center closed, pool not heated, very small hot tub usually filled with kids that didn't want to go into the cold pool, couldn't connect to Wi-Fi. No housekeeping service still due to Covid.

The chalet itself is pretty old but I guess that is what kind'a makes it cozy. But the main thing is the carpet in the bedroom. It really needs to be updated. Also the sofa bed/couch looks old and dirty so I 'lysoled' that darn thing like crazy. The closet, which is the space under the stairs, is a bit creepy and unsafe if you ask me. There are nails sticking out, so if you have children, make sure they don't play in there. Our cell phones were completely dead in that area, so the free wifi really helps. Also the check in was kind of a drag. Early check in was not available and there was a big line outside of registration because only a limited number of people at a time are allowed inside due to covid restrictions. So it was understandable.
Now for the good part: the chalets are cozy and spacious. It is tri-level. The bedroom and bathroom is downstairs (including the closet). The living area and kitchen are in the second floor. It has a sliding door that opens out to a spacious balcony with seating. There is also a bbq grill there. The view is very relaxing. There's also a fire place and the wood floors gets very loud but easier to clean. Now from the second level, there is a wall ladder going up to a loft. This was my kids favorite. They enjoyed this area and practically claimed it as their own space. If you have an airbed, you can use this as a third sleeping area. After spending the whole day outdoors, my kids looked forward to relaxing in their "own space."

Great place to stay in family, very clean, we had lake view and they provide all that you need to cook and grill in the balcony! That is great! And you can enjoy the trails with waterfalls! Amazing!
