Homestead Cottages

Our family opted for a trip instead of presents for Christmas this year, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. The staff was nice, and the property was beautiful. We'll be returning at some point in the future

My husband and I enjoyed a nice quite kid-free getaway at Homestead Cottages. It's absolutely perfect for a completely disconnected time from your daily life. The only drawback was the mattress was a bit too firm for my liking (and back issues) so I had to sleep on the much more comfortable couch. I will say I was thankful for that couch and falling asleep with the fireplace going. Also, the coffee pot didn't work but that wasn't a bother since Starbucks isn't too far away. Overall, we absolutely loved it. I wish I could say we'd stay again but my husband and I like to sleep in the same bed so that may be the thing that prevents a return.

Our family stay at the cottages was very restful and relaxing, they have beautiful trails for hiking. It's just all in all a lovely property. The property doesn't have cell service but the Wi-Fi works just fine for making phone calls. The only problem we had was the water, it was well water and it was fine to cook with, but it tasted nasty to drink. We went to the gas station 5 minutes up the road and they had gallons and bottles of water. we brought food so we could cook in the cottage and I was surprised by the amount of utensils available to me. it was very nice to not have to go out for every meal while on vacation. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful cottage with all the amenities. Fully equipped kitchen. We brought our own food to cook and everything worked well. There are a couple grocery stores near buy. There were flurries during our stay, but snow just 15 more minutes up the mountain. We didn’t explore the property more due to having a newborn, but we thoroughly enjoyed our getaway.
