Toll House Hotel Los Gatos

The bed in the room was so hard that my wife and I got very very little sleep. We are not old or out of shape, and that bed had us both in pain all night long. With 4 kids in our home, we very very rarely get a chance to go anywhere. However, I had $81 in points, so we decided to take one night for ourselves. We live 3 hours north of Los Gatos, but we love the town. It’s peaceful and quiet, and our primary goal on these rare and short trips is to catch up on much needed sleep and relaxation so Los Gatos is great. Toll House came recommended on Hotels.com, so we decided to use my HARD EARNED points to get a nice room and relax together before coming home to our stressful environment. We are both more exhausted than when we left. It feels like we wasted our one chance this year to get away on a cheap, hard bed. The hotel is nice, the room was acceptable, but the most important thing, the bed, was beyond bad. By the way, my wife and I own a mattress store, so we know a cheap spring mattress when we feel one. I will never stay there again, and I’m not even sure if I will books through hotels.com again. The reward point system was degraded to a worse program. It takes forever to earn enough points to matter, and then you can just waste those hard earned points on bad stays.

Rented the room for my girlfriend’s birthday, next morning the “breakfast “ they offered was completely gone due to according to them one family wiping it out. But hey it’s cool because I was told I can go to some bagel shop and get my own breakfast…. And to make things even worse, as we gathered all our belongings we noticed that our blankets that we used to cover ourselves had blood stains all over them! I was not only disappointed with Toll house hotel, I’m disgusted!!

Everything is great especially the old town of Los Gatos. But didn’t sleep well with a baby crying across the hallway.

The hotel itself is nice and the staff was very welcoming and friendly, especially in the new bar/restaurant. I was disappointed to find that there was no outdoor seating w/ fire tables and lights as shown on the website. That is the main reason we chose this hotel as the pictures o line made this look appealing. The only other issue we had was that there was a very loud family next door to our room with young children who ran up and down the hall, slamming the door, children and parents yelling. This went on from 10pm- midnight.

Was suppose to have late check out and got locked out when left for coffee. They indicated the reservation was gone and we had 10 min to collect belongings. My family had to wait around with their stuff until I returned from work.
