Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Torrance Palos Verdes

Unfortunately this was the last hotel we stayed in during our 2 week visit to the LA area. There are many hotels in this area. You can find another one that is nicer and less expensive. While there were a couple of nice features, the pool area, the housekeeping staff, and a microwave available in the ice machine area (though the ice machine didn’t work), our stay was overall not good. The first issue started at the front desk. The clerk, Aja (not sure if I spelled it right), was not friendly. With every request we got attitude and the feeling we were interrupting her day. She was unhelpful when I requested a room near the back of the property. Though I paid for a balcony room, she claimed that there were no balcony rooms near the end of the property and gave us a room without a balcony nor the ability to fully open a windows We needed help with the TV remote control Saturday and there was no explanation of what to do, only a change of batteries which we had already done. She was on her personal phone each time we had an interaction with her. On Saturday she seemed to be babysitting a group of teenagers who were hanging out in the lobby. I have not had such rudeness from hotel staff in my life. In the room, we could not make the thermostat work. The room was either muggy or freezing, There were ants in the bathroom and on the ground by the AC unit, and also near microwave. We could not watch TV since we could never figure out the remote. We heard noise from the hallways.

The hotel lobby and room were very clean and modernized. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite spacious with a nice rollout desk to use for a laptop. I stayed at a Courtyard in Baldwin Park the day before my stay in Torrance and the Torrance Courtyard is superior in quality. I only wish the breakfast or cafe was open past 11 a.m., however I will stay here the next time I visit family in the Redondo Beach area.

The Hotel front guest receptionist were all so nice and accommodating. My family and I would stay here again and again!!!

Great hotel to stay with family or even just you and your SO. Place was clean along with our room. Very spacious, but I did have an issue with the sofa placement in our room. Too close to the bed on the wall side which is unfortunate and inconvenient my girlfriend actually tripped over it going to the restroom midnight. Staff were great. Forgot to ask for the room service guy but he was very nice and helped us get comfortable. Honestly the room service guy gave us more information on where to find things at the hotel than main desk did. I Will be staying here again soon.

Really liked this hotel! Pool was awesome for the kids, rooms are very clean. I will definitely be staying here again.

Everything about your hotel was very nice. The only issue which was not the hotels fault was the inconsiderate family above our room, their child running back and forth in the room stomping their feet and the parents talking as loud with their voices echoing in the courtyard after 11:00 p.m. at night. It's disappointing when people go to a hotel some do not have consideration for others that are nearby them.

This place was OK, but there was some construction happening down the hall and the other family we were traveling with found some kind of animal scat under the curtains in their room.

Excellent place for family

Checking in was fabulous service, same with checking out Ice Machine on 2nd floor out of order, also 3rd floor and 1st floor guess what NO ICE Business Library: Why have a printer if it doesn't work, said it needed toner, the staff didn't know where to find refill left me sitting there 30 minutes. Why have a "restaurant" where hours are NOT even listed and not open. Courtyards are designed for business people if you can't get something in the afternoon or early evening because it is closed this advertising you do for your courtyards is not truthful. I have stayed at this property multiple times, this time all I was met with were NOT working, NOT available pushback. Really should I just change hotel families?

Can i please receive some sort of accomadation fir such bad service what about 50 credits because my family will b returning today snd i need a room fir 5 days
