Long Beach Marriott

This was my first time staying at this location. Our experience at checking in was a good experience. Our room was cold walking in which was no big deal except we attempt to turn the heater on and it felt like it never warm up even though the thermostat read at 84 degrees..🤔🤔 Upon the day of check out which checkout was 12pm, At 1205pm I get this aggressive knocks on the door by the housekeeper questioning me about my time of check out. I told him I was grabbing my suitcase and heading out now. He continues to question me like I was a child I told him he was being very unprofessional but did not seem to care and was tapping on his watch. So rude and unprofessional. I’ve travel a lot and never been encountered with this type of service. Will not recommend or stay here again.

We had just returned from a cruise, so it was early in the morning. The staff stored our luggage, let the kids swim and gave us options for hanging out while we waited for the room to be ready.

I found the bed really comfortable compared to other hotels. My whole family woke up in surprise that they had quality sleep.

The hotel is next to the airport, but there was very little noise coming from planes taking off (my window faced the runway). It is in an industrial park that, oddly, is literally across the street from a neighborhood (but that is generally a SoCal zoning no-rules thing). Even though it is a bit out of the way, shops and restaurants are a 5 minute drive toward the Circle. If you want to get to the more fancy area down by the water, it takes about 15-20 minutes to drive through the traffic (lots of stop lights) to get there. The staff was marvelous. The room was clean and bright if a bit spartan. The TV didn't work, but that was okay as I needed to get work done. The only thing that irked me was a very clear kid's hand smear on the window impossible to miss. The hotel seems to be undergoing renovation, but had I not seen the fencing I would never have known. There is an amazing pool with fountains.

They shut down the pool at a family hotel for a wedding. Again family hotel and music from the wedding blasting till 11 pm. My infants sleep at 8. They dont clean the rooms. They blame staff.

I usually love Marriott hotels. Although this one was nice and clean, the pool was very disappointing. They do not have a hot tub/jacuzzi. They have an outdoor and indoor pool but both are VERY cold. They say their indoor pool is heated but it was nice cold. Their kid pool, although outdoors was freezing.
