Best Western Plus Hotel At The Convention Center

We had a one night stay, my fiancé and I. Our little getaway without kids and our stay was great. Comfortable and our favorite restaurant is just around the corner. Definitely will be back

Recommended for family stay. Clean safe kids friendly. Simple Comfort breakfast though dining space is limited but free to take to your room and enjoy.

Excellent Hotel. There were just kids slamming doors, running and construction going on. It was difficult to sleep. I love staying here.

This property was an excellent location and the staff went above and beyond, however they did not have extra blankets or even a mattress for the pack and play crib for a baby.. the whole second floor smelt like marijuana which was really irritating as I had my 2 year old with me. front desk staff were very polite and helpful as were the cleaning staff. Great breakfast..

We stayed 1 night with family. Room was clean and property looked great. The breakfast was fair. Wished they had pancakes for the children, but waffles were great to make ourselves. Poor selection of pasteries and did not see fruit. Guests must be informed that they will need the key to access the hotel from the parking structure, the elevator requires the room key, as well. So if you run out to the car to get something you forget, take the room key! Location was GREAT!

Pros: bed was comfortable, decent hot breakfast options, location was convenient, staff was friendly Cons: walls are paper thin (I was kept awake with doors slamming all night/morning, as well as children screaming in their rooms most of the night), and the coffee was absolutely horrible. They have one of those machines that makes like 10 drinks all through one spout, so the coffee tasted like a horrible mix of all 9 other options the machine could make. Honestly it was the worst coffee I have ever tasted in my entire life. Don't know why they can't have a big decanter of coffee like most other hotels do, I had to go searching for a cafe nearby to find a coffee that actually tasted like coffee. Also, to be fair, the hotel staff did offer to change my room given all the noise in the rooms surrounding mine, but I had little faith it would actually improve the noise situation much given how thin the walls were (and it was after midnight and I didn't feel like packing up all my stuff again). Still, I was disappointed in this Best Western overall, and would try somewhere else next time I'm in Long Beach.
