SpringHill Suites by Marriott Bakersfield

Only thing is they claim the family room sleeps 5, but the beds are small for 2 adults. We had people sleep on the couch. But overall our stay was very pleasant.

The room was listed as a suite and it was not. When we went to the reception they said all rooms are suite therefore that room was suite. The pictures online did not match the room. We were given a handicap bathroom that we did not request, so we were not able to give the kids a bath as they don’t tolerate a shower. The moment we checked in security came to the door that the noise was reported and there was noise while It could be just the fact the walls are thin. The air conditioning was noisy. We felt like they did not have a room but just created something quickly. To make the matter worse the room was in the lower level and we could not open the curtain as people were passing by in the back and there was zero privacy. We were supposed to stay there for four nights but we waited for the morning to come so we could leave. We found another Marriott in down town but we drove to see the place physically to make sure we could not get deceived by the pictures online. The downtown one was nice and it delivered the peace that we were looking for.

Very nice staff, good breakfast hours, linens don't quite fit the bed and some stains on the carpet but overall clean and great corner room for small family.

We checked in around 11pm, the safe was quick at checking us in as my kiddos were asleep. The room was cozy, bed was comfortable. The breakfast area was great, stocked and the staff cleaned off tables quickly for other quest to sit.

My family and I had a great stay! Our suite was very comfortable for 5 people. I have three kids whom are bigger than their age and we were able to settle without having to adjust or compromise for a week and a half. The kids loves the pool, complimentary breakfast not to mention the room! We were very pleased for our entire stay.

The hot tub did not work- no matter how many times we turned it on. The hotel itself was VERY humid and HOT! Housekeeping knocking on door constantly at 8:30 am but check out is at 12. Our hotel room was 80 when we first went it. Due to my special needs child- we have to keep our rooms at 70-72 at the highest. We set the room at 70 and took them to dinner and then swimming. We didn’t re-enter the room until 9 PM (check in several hours prior) and the room was barely 77. At midnight it barely hit 75 and my 8 am the next morning it was 74. FRUSTRATING to say the least having to deal with what comes with this & my sped child. Housekeeper knocked at 8:30 and again at 9:30, finally got frustrated enough to open the door and she just apologized. Took the kids down to breakfast at 9:45 and she was WAITING by our door. 🙄 Breakfast was “EHH” but it’s ok because I go elsewhere for my SPED child anyway. Came back and packed and again housekeeper waiting right outside my door- talk about feeling rushed to leave. Probably won’t stay here again.

Staff was very friendly upon check-in. Very accommodating to my family. Will definitely stay here again.

The friendliness of staff and check-in, breakfast, cleaning, everyone wearing a smile and kind. Made a great difference! We visit family often, but this hotel might change how we visit, worth staying here more often!

The room was terrible. The beds were terrible. After a 5 hour drive we were told our kids were too loud just walking om the floor for the people ubder us at SEVEN THIRTY pm.

Nice suite for a family. Clean, updated and friendly staff. We did not have time to check the pool or fitness. Breakfast was basic but plenty. Was fast restocked by staff. Coffeemaker in the room didn’t work but was coffee and tea in the lobby all the time.
