Hourglass Hotel, Ascend Hotel Collection

The rooms were very comfortable and newly renovated. The pool was crystal clear and huge. The hotel in general was huge which was nice because we didn’t really hear anyone else around us and they couldn’t hear our loud toddler either (we hope)

The air conditions were not in operation in our bedrooms. We were three groups of family members.

We are a family of 3 and stayed for one night for a Cheer competition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We needed to call for help for the TV. It is a new program where you have to cast a streaming service from your phone. It wouldn’t connect to our phones and was a slight inconvenience, but not life changing. The room its self was refurbished and looked new. The bathroom was also refurbished and shower head put out enough water pressure. Only complaint about the bathroom is I noticed in the corners of the countertop and floors, it was dirty. Maybe a rushed cleaning job? But that little bit of detail especially in a bathroom can go a long way for the customer who is staying. Beds were average comfort with pillows that were the size of a small square throw pillow. (Not exaggerating!) If you’re a light sleeper ask to have a room closer to the front of the hotel. I got next to no sleep because my room was up against the freeway and I heard every car pass by. Overall the hotel and room was fine for the one night stay, you can see all the remodeling the hotel is doing to make it a more desirable property.

Woke up at 7am to loud music and children crying in front of my door! Staff did not seem to care as they said there was a convention going on and didn’t care to inform ahead of time so I could request a change of rooms.

I had a truly dreadful experience at this hotel. The moment I walked into my room, I was greeted by an overwhelming stench of mildew and mold that made me question my decision to stay here. Despite the dreadful smell, I decided to tough it out for the night since I was exhausted from my late arrival. The next morning, I had an urgent meeting to attend. When I returned to the hotel, I went straight to the front desk seeking assistance. To my dismay, I was informed that I wouldn't be refunded for the remaining nights, even though I had no intention of requesting a refund for the first night, which I willingly endured despite the health concerns. My request to speak to the manager was met with further frustration as she seemed more interested in helping other guests than addressing my concerns. I patiently waited for nearly 45 minutes before finally getting her attention. Unfortunately, she too refused any refund and insisted that there was no smell in my room, suggesting that it actually "smelled like the ocean." I couldn't believe it. It was as if the entire staff was gaslighting me. To make matters worse, I later found out that three other parties had also requested room changes due to the same foul odor. This place is simply uninhabitable and unsafe. My health and my children's health suffered during our stay here. To top it off, I felt like I was being forcibly escorted off the property as the manager watched me pack and had security stand by the door. Avoid this place

This is a nice hotel, but not necessarily meant for kids. The staff was very nice, but not a lot of breakfast options, and the pool is pretty deep even in the shallow end. Those aren’t points against the hotel, just a note for people with younger kids. The outside space is very nice, with lots of grass, fire pits and seating areas.

Room was very spacious and clean. Limited breakfast items... Nice property inside and pool area was nice and clean. Would stay again and recommend for families.

We had a patio with a pool view,which was beautiful until the other guest decided to take our patio chairs. Not only that it was a family of about 50 and they had no respect for the other guest or us they were entirely to loud at 11pm at night.
