Wonderful hotel conveniently located 5 minutes from the park entrance. Food options are varied but expensive. The pool area is excellent, but there are many families staying here so not good if you want a quieter experience (at least in August when we stayed).

Excellent choice right outside of Yosemite’s southern entrance. The hotel has full amenities with indoor and outdoor pools, restaurants, deli, and shopping. For families needing laundry, the hotel has a laundry room available. Also, water is free so no need to buy it as it is at other hotels. The room we stayed in (2queen beds) was spacious and clean. The bathroom is stocked well and there is a door between the toilet and shower area and the vanity area
But what we found more outstanding than any other place we stayed (including some high end resorts) is the hospitality of the staff. There was not one thing that we needed during our stay that the staff did not try to make it happen for us. We are very grateful for their smiles and welcoming attitude.

Tenaya was such a gem to find and the perfect location for exploring Yosemite. There was so much attention to detail, from the shuttle buggies which ran us back to our cabins from the pool and restaurants, to the games available to play in the evenings with happy hour and smores around the firepits. Jackaloup restaurant was very good as was the pizzeria. The BBQ wasn't such good value for money but we appreciated the outdoor dining experience. The pool area was beautiful and the grounds were clean and very well maintained. We booked an explorer cabin which was fab although a little cramped for the five of us; 2 adults, 2 teens and a younger child. The oversized bunk in the second bedroom wasn't really adequate for the three kids, but we made do as everything else was near-perfect! Fantastic memories. Thank you

We stayed in a cottage at Tenaya Lodge for two nights and we liked it. The room is the cottage was spacious and clean. We had access to a sitting area just outside the cottage which was nice.
The cottage turned out to be a room in a 3-room cottage. It was still very nice but I actually expected an independent cottage based on my booking. This could be made a bit clearer on the site.
The main lodge (walking distance from the cottages) has a beautiful and spacious lobby. There are two swimming facilities: indoor and outdoor. The floor in the indoor pool was a bit dirty and for some reason the hotel decides to play kids' movies above the pool very loudly. If you don't have kids or your kids are a bit older it totally ruins the experience of an evening swim.
The common areas could be a bit cleaner. Even though we very much enjoyed the additional hot tub close to our cottage, the windows and doors in that building haven't been washed in a long time.

Nice lodge located super close to the south entrance (only 10 minutes with no traffic if you leave for the park by 8am or earlier).
Negatives:
*bathrooms feature sliding barn style doors which offer little privacy because of the fairly large gap it leaves. Anyone using the outer sink can see you sitting on the toilet and hear everything.
*no vending machines even the floors have a space that say ice and vending. You have to buy any snacks or drinks at their store.
*the website advertised free telescope star gazing but the staff didn’t know anything about it and it never came out. They need to remove that activity from their website.
*rooms were nice BUT they didn’t have a microwave and the bed sank to the point where I felt like I was about ready to fall off at night.
*pool bar closed way early due to under staffing
Overall it was a good stay. Food was way way overpriced and average. Drinks were good at the restaurant. Tons of kids in the adults only pool.

The property is very nice and elegant looking. Love the happy hour complimentary wines with soothing and relaxing piano music. Will definitely come back with the family.

This property is only 1 mile from Yosemite's South Entrance. It makes it convenient to get an early start and beat some of the Park crowds. This hotel is lovely with wonderful, friendly staff and is family-friendly as well. Some on site amenities include archery, rock wall climbing, bike rentals, game room, pool. Restaurant has great food choices but would have preferred some additional vegetarian options.
