Holiday Inn London - Luton Airport, an IHG Hotel

Air conditioning didn’t work and room had no windows. Impossible to sleep due to the temperature of the room. Asked for a fan and told none were available. Asked again later when kids simply couldn’t sleep, and amazingly with some firm persuasion they found one, unfortunately this was too late for us and it ruined a nights sleep before an early flight. Poor reception service and room wasn’t particularly clean either

But tired now and worn. Sadly service wasn’t pleasant. Very restricted and too basic a menu after 8pm with nothing for kids.

On arrival found out it was going to cost £36 to leave the car on site for 12 hours, which was not advised on the booking. Went in to find out that you can pay £12.50 in the hotel instead but this is again not advised prior. Booked a room for a family with cot. On putting the little on down found the cot had not been full put up and quickly found out this was because the cot was broken. Took it to reception just to be told they were aware it was broke but they didn’t have any more available (which I wouldn’t have minded if someone had contacted me prior to dining out myself). This left me and the little one having to share the sofa bed which again was damaged. The safe was missing several supports leaving up basically sleeping with out leg raised. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in with some of the worst customer service.

Room small for a family of 4 Beds not really comfy at all No toilet roll in room and shower not really that clean no toiletries like stated

I had called and written the hotel that we were a family of grandparents, parent and 2 young children landing at 2:00 am and that i was worried they'd give our room away. They said they'd keep the room for us. We arrived at the hotel and they had given our room away, claiming double booking. They sent us walking to the Holiday Inn Express, which had room and was lovely.

Wanted somewhere to rest for a few hours until catch my flight from Luton. The lady on reception was very welcoming making us feel at home as soon as we stepped in. I wasn’t expecting much as only paid a small amount for a family of four. I was pleasantly surprised the room was cosy, warm & a very comfy bed. The only downfall was the hairs, cobwebs and dust found. I suppose if I’d called the nice lady at reception she’ll of sent the cleaner
