Holiday Inn Express London Luton Airport, an IHG Hotel

We are happy family after the stay and we loved the staff and the room

Parking is £15 a night (£25 usually but the hotel give you a discount for staying there) which we thought was expensive for one night - as paying guests this should be included or at least more heavily subsidised. The room was small for a family room - much smaller than Holiday Inn Express we’ve stayed in elsewhere. The sofa bed when pulled out meant zero floor space! The hairdryer didn’t work, the shower head was broken so water sprayed out in every direction, and the sockets were really loose and coming away from the wall. Breakfast was good but not as much choice as with other Holiday Inn Express.

Decent hotel at very good price and location for airport... bit no frils but fine so long as thats what you are expecting. Not much room in family room and sofa bed not the comfiest but ok for a night.

Positive: the beds were very comfortable. Negatives: Very-very small room, even for two. NO functioning lift, so problems for the infirm, if you’ve too many bags, have family and/or if you can’t manage stairs easily. And, during our visit they stopped doing food at nine and didn’t know if they were offering their ‘takeaway’ service. We’ll meaning staff but not enough of them - they seemed overwhelmed at times. At £125 plus £15 for overnight parking I’d say really not. Worth it unless you’ve no other choices. Good for HIE but not so customers and their staff I’d say.

Good dinner options for family. Early breakfast (cereal/toast/croissants) from 4am which was very helpful.

We had a Family Room for the four of us. Two adults and two teenage children. There wasn’t enough space for us all to get the best of nights rest.

Close enough to airport for my family to walk there within a few mins. Check in was quick. Room was comfortable. Plenty to choose from, for breakfast. No issues.

One night stay. Very small room for a family-sized room, hardly any room to swing a cat. Serive at the bar extremely slow. Quality of breakfast was what you'd expect from a 3 star. However, I can't say enough about the customer service. They will definitely bend over backwards to help you. Excellent.

Room was compact but big enough for the night we stayed ahead of our flight. There is a bar/restaurant on site which serves food until 9pm so I was pleasantly surprised, as I thought there was nowhere to get food at within the hotel. Although hotel is near the airport, I could hardly hear the planes, so sleep was not disturbed. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom had shower, toilet and the sink and enough room for me and my daughter to fit in at the same time. There was no fridge in the room-probably the only negative I could say but thats not a problem if you stay only one night. Hotel is walkable distance away from the airport-around 10mins, I’d say but as our flight was at 5 am and I didn’t want to walk with a toddler, I took a taxi, which cost me £5.8. Overall I totally recommend this hotel and will stay there again if I have another flight at unreasonable time.

Very pleased with the hotel. I stayed one night with my sister and one year old baby. We had flight 8:45 am. Hotel is very close to Luton airport. It took us may be 15 min walk from hotel to the airport. Staff smiling, happy to help. Breakfast from 4:00am with really good choice of food. Price for room not to high. Room very clean with white bedding, clean bathroom. I can honestly say I am very glad I stayed over night at this hotel and I will definitely do it again in a future.
