Amazing place- the older rooms have good facilities and great views. The public areas are very nice. Only disappointment was trying to get a decent cup of tea in the room!! When I've paid a significant amount of cash for a grand junior suite i really expect better facilities than a shabby little tray with two teabags, a didgy kettle, and a couple of those awful tiny pots of 'milk'... How about some proper milk in the fridge and a teapot??? Even when i asked for a tray of tea for two to make up the shortfall, the guy turns up with - fanfare - a tray with two cups, two teabags, and a thermos jug of tepid water. Come on people - you should do better than that. Oh and the bathroom had no heating at all so it was freezing......

The service was extremely slow, the hotel was very noisy at night with the trains under station. We had to wait and keep asking for an extra bed for the children and there were no coffee mugs in the room. I even upgraded to a suite

Stayed in the grand suite, but the sofa and coffee table were old and tatty, scratched and abused. The sitting area was awkward and dingy in comparison to the junior suite.

On the negative side :- No help with luggage / no signage for reception / nobody at reception (9pm) / none of the FIVE staff at concierge desk able to check me in (although one person did contact the correct person) / informed I had been 'upgraded' to a junior suite (honestly how would I know ?) / Charge made for 'extras' (took five days to clear) / room satisfactory on first floor facing Euston Road with high ceiling and large single-glazed windows (so NOT 'all soundproofed rooms' as stated) / street and traffic noise very loud throughout the night (hence a terrible nights sleep) / the inclusive breakfast is ordinary and buffet style with eggs cooked to order if required ('poached' on toast taking ONLY 35 minutes, but these come hard-boiled on cold and barely toasted bread). Cannot recommend this hotel if, like me, you want a good nights sleep and a decent breakfast. And 'no' I did not complain to the management because a) I had a train to catch and b) what would be the point - I would not want anything they had to offer. On a positive note, it was only one night and for someone who spends many nights in London hotels, I now know not to stay there again.

We just expected more from this high-end hotel. It was a relatively clean room. We felt safe in our room and at the hotel. The hotel is close to the tube and train station. You are also close to the trendy Coals-Drop-Yard. However, our room wasn't available until 8pm. Although they did give us access to the club lounge. The food was cleaned up for the evening, so our children were very hungry, because we didn't expect not being checked in for 90 min after we arrived. We didn't receive housekeeping until the end of our fourth day. We had to keep asking for towels and toilet paper. Then directly asked to have our room cleaned on the fourth morning it wasn't done when we came back in the afternoon. Having to ask again when we went to dinner, it was then that is was finally cleaned and refreshed. Then the hours kids are allowed in the pool, were extremely limiting. Making my kids say this place hates kids. Like I said we just expected more from this high-end of a hotel.
