Great hotel centrally located, used for business but will definitely stay next time I’m in London with my family

Lovely property, rooms are amazing and extremely quiet -close to Shoreditch high street where there is plenty of places to eat and drink…would recommend to friends and family…

I booked this hotel based on it having twin rooms for my 4 adult children to share . When we arrived, all 3 of the rooms were doubles - despite having requested the twins 3 months before. Staff couldn’t/didn’t want to help despite me being visibly upset. They covered themselves by saying ‘we will try and meet requests’ in emails. A point that the girl dealing with me used in defence, but given I’d given them 3 months notice & a follow up email, I didn’t think my request would be ignored or that the 2 available twin rooms would be such a big issue . My 20 year old daughter had to share a bed with her 6” 2, 18 year old brother - and my 24 year old son share a bed with his 15 year old brother. Not great. If I’d been told my request wasn’t going to be fulfilled, I’d have chosen to stay somewhere else. But I guess it was easier to take my money. Breakfast buffet looked good, but all the hot food was cold, and take your own shampoo & conditioner because the one supplied in the bathrooms was like paint stripper. All round, I felt I was cheated out of £700.
