Holiday Inn Express Liverpool-Knowsley M57, Jct.4, an IHG Hotel

Perfect for our 1 night stay to attend a family occasion nearby. Breakfast was excellent. Elevator could do with a good scrub.

Stay was perfect for after a concert at Anfield. staff were helpful and answered questions we had regarding taxis to and from the convert. We paid for breakfast on arrival which made breakfast cheaper and the kids ate free which is reasonable and was a fair amount to choose from. Fruit juice was a bit warm was my only real complaint about breakfast. I will stay here again should we attend any events in future at Anfield

Lovely hotel with great staff. Nice place to stay when we come to Liverpool visiting family. Great service and everything we needed for a nice little break.

Upon arrival the staff checked us in quickly and were friendly. The booking was for us as a family of 3, but the sofa bed had not been set up. We had 2 additional pillows with covers, but there was no sheet and no duvet cover and not enough towels for 3. I went to reception to request these and within half an hour someone came along to give us these and offer to make up the bed, which we declined and did it ourselves. We paid for a double room, but the bed was a 4' 6" which, given my husband is of rugby player build and 6ft, alongside me not being tiny, made the bed very small for both of us which limited the quality of our sleep, the bed would have been comfortable if you were a lone traveller or both of smaller build. The child (12) in our party slept well on the pull out and said it was comfortable. The bedside lights provided entertainment in working out the exact position to be operable, but this didn't affect us greatly. The doors to rooms could do with additional dampening measures because between 11.00pm/12.00pm all we could hear was slamming doors as people went to their rooms. The room was clean and tidy (sealant between worktop and sink in bathroom could do with replacing though) and otherwise comfortable. The hotel itself is well presented with good amenities and in a good accessible location and breakfast was good and plentiful. There was a long wait for check out and queue as staff were not available at the time.

Stay was me and my family and was really nice. We did the breakfast one morning but decided it wasn’t worth doing again. But the hotel is great and the staff are lovely

Lovely hotel, 15 minute drive from Anfield, very convenient, parking included, breakfast very reasonably priced and kids under 12 eat free with every paying adult.

Pros 1-This is a very nice hotel, and very modern. 2- great location, close to amenities. 3- friendly staff, was able to accommodate getting extra pillows covers ect. cons 1- breakfast is a little on the expensive side compared to surrounding hotels. 2- housekeeping entered our room at 7:30am and woke my children and myself up, she didnt apologise she just walked out the room, i had to go to reception to enquire who walked into our room at that time. 3- in the morning i emptied our room bin, asked housing keeping for some clean towels explained our room didnt need cleaning, when we left for the day i placed the do not disturb sign on the door, when we got back i discovered the sign on the door and personally telling the housekeeper our room did not need cleaning was disregarded.

Stayed here for 3 nights, just myself and mum whilst visiting family. Everything really fresh and clean and staff were lovely. Will definitely return again soon.

Stayed here and november and returned again for new year to be near family. Great stay again. Cant fault anything at all. Can't comment on breakfast as we was room only. But this place will be our home from home when visiting family.

I booked two twin rooms with free breakfast - took a screen shot of the price and booking details clearly showing free breakfast because hotels tend to deny the free breakfast was included in bookings. This time I was prepared. The customer service manager predictably said no free breakfast- showed me Expedia site saying ‘breakfast available’ - I showed my pic - she spoke down to me and her tone of voice implied I wasn’t being truthful. Not only that, she looked at me and my two Iranian foster children very disrespectfully. I suspected undercurrents of racism in her behaviour and attitude to my genuine dispute. I left the next day with no breakfast. Very poor experience.
