Fantastic stay! Stayed with the family of 4 in a double room, very spacious and clean overall. Great location, lovely breakfast. The restaurants are very tasty and staff are friendly and professional. Would love to stay again! only downside was the building work but it didn't disrupt our day at all.

This hotel is great. They have certainly done the place out to high standard. The rooms are spotlessly clean with loads of extra nice touches all over the place. The food in the antler restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced give. The standard of the hotel. It came quickly and the waiting staff were efficient friendly and conscientious. We had 2 children who enjoyed the pool and the park on site as well as giant jenga in the bar. Thanks to all the staff that made us welcome.

Great hotel. Swimming facilities lovely. Grounds immaculate and even a wee play park for kids. Only thing that spoilt things slightly was the service in the Antler bar. Not enough staff on so service was slow. We ordered food just after 5pm and had to go and check where it was at 6.10pm. They said there was a problem with the printer and they had lost our order. Not ideal with a starving 3 year old but they did their best to rectify it, complimentary drinks and rushed the order through once brought to their attention. Staff polite and friendly, just not enough of them and the ones that were working were slow. Overall a great stay, would definitely return.

Great stay with my husband and 2 kids aged 13 and 9. We used the pool which isn’t very big but they enjoyed it’s we got to use the sauna and jacuzzi. The rooms was spacious and very comfortable and clean. We ate at the prego restaurant for tea and everyone enjoyed what they had. We played pool and darts in the anchor bar on the evening which was great for the kids. We also had breakfast which the hot food was very nice, we didn’t go until after 9 so not sure if it’s better earlier on but they didn’t refill any of the fruit or pastries whilst we were there which was disappointing as there was only a small selection left when we arrived. Overall a great stay and nice to go some where family friendly.

its a struggle to find a family room anywhere for £110 per night. TBH we just wanted to make the most o the good weather and takes the kids out on a decent ramble and have somewhere to put our heads down. family room here was £130 WITH breakfast thrown in and had the added bonus of a pool and gym. The entire place was i great condition and felt worth more money than we paid. We booked a table for the early bird menu such good value for 3 courses and bottle of house plonk thrown in that it was still a brilliant deal to pay the £8 supp for the steak, which was perfectly done and tasted right out of a steak house rather than a hotel. As it was easter weekend, there were two cadburys easter eggs in the room for the kids, coffee machine with a really good selection of pods for once. They staff put out chocolate eggs for an egg hunt around the grounds on the sunday. there was also archery and a shooting range going onfor the kids (unsure wether this was something seperate to the hotel) staff were all friendly, helpful and polite. room was spotless and well sound proofed. The prices for drink were high but arnt they everywhere? The cottages all looked really good from what we saw but obviously they cost a lot more.

We just stayed fir a night on our way home from holiday to see family. The hotel itself looks stunning, with great views all round and lovely decor. As you enter the driveway, the signing is non existent, so trying to find reception was a bit of a nightmare. Then when we got there, there was only one receptionist dealing with someone from a wedding part so had to wait for quite a while to be checked in. Our room was lively, very plush with a gazillion pillows on the beds! Lovely added touches with the coffee machine and sundries. Wouldve liked hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang towels as there was nowhere to put them to dry. Disappointed to be woken early the next morning by next door having breakfast delivered and the employee delivering it saying very loudly that it was room service. This was around 6am. The pool was nice, although neither of the jacuzzis was working and its starting to look like it needs a refresh. There are bags for wet swimwear but a more sustainable solution might be to have a spinner. Breakfast was ok. It was self serve except for hot drinks. The eggs were as you'd expect under a heat lamp so would be nice to be able to order fresh eggs. Good selection of pastries. Check out was again a bit slow as there was only one person on. During these busier times, id expect them to have additional resource available to not keep people wairing too long. Overall a nice stay but a few things for the venue to improve.

I've stayed in this hotel a few times previously through work and always enjoyed my stay here, I stayed here at the weeked with the family and they were really impressed. the staff are really helpful and friendly. We had an evening meal here which was nice, my only negative comment would be the food was cold which granted I should have mentioned at the time as they could have done something about it.

It’s a hotel that seems to base everything on looks, as long as it looks good it’s alright. We had one of their best rooms/family suites and I was underwhelmed. The design and functional usability of the bathrooms was poor and the fit and finish of tiling and fixtures also fell into a poor rating. There was a complete lack of information in the room about the room and the hotel, nobody showed us to the room to even briefly explain things. The room LOOKS great but that’s where it stopped for me. The wardrobes were Awful, our IKEA special was starting to come apart and the one in my daughters room was unusable dangerous and falling apart due to damage and I don’t think it had happened recently as an entire sliding door was already missing. The food in the bar and restaurant was ok, not bad not great just ok. The breakfast was good self service until they launched a new menu that you could order from and only had 1 chef running the whole service. The pool/spa facilitys were also distinctly average-poor. Pool was cloudy and in need of a long overdue deep clean. (We still used the pool but had we not been there with a 14yr old that loves swimming would probably not have bothered) The hot tub was only working 2 out of 4 visits, the plaster on the walls around the pool was falling off and other areas had already been patched up. Again my general opinion of it was poor. Considering it is a hotel that boasts of it being BOUTIQUE I had high hopes for what I had booked and it fell short
