Had booked two Feature King rooms for our annual family meet-up. It was our third time at the Edgbaston Park hotel and things have been very good in the past. But on this occasion we were greeted with the news that the rooms that had been booked were unavailable (no reason given). We were then told that luxury rooms were available and we could be switched to them, the price would be halved and we'd get a complimentary drink as a an apology. Despite the disappointment of a rather less-special stay, we're British in our stoicism, and took them up on their offer, which seemed fair. But the rooms we were given were their standard, not luxury. It looks like the reduced price was pretty-much rack-rent for that type of room. And the free drink was a very small (literally) token of an apology. When we got back on Saturday night the place was heaving with wedding guests from a do at the hotel. And with several folk who had just arrived and found no room to go to, despite being booked in - so, I guess we weren't as unfortunate as them. Points at a rather cavalier attitude to fulfilling their part of the room-for-money equation. Pretty fundamental stuff... So, next year, we've booked somewhere else. A pity, because the staff are generally really nice and the place is very up-together.

Great hotel, have stayed several times. Asked for a quiet room. Had a noisy child at 630am next door so an early start after a busy week.

On arrival my family and myself were asked to step away from the main desk and take a seat on a nearby sofa with all our luggage while a member of staff was called to check if our room was "dirty". After an approx 15 minute wait we were given the room key. The room we had been given was a disabled room, none of us are disabled and I definetely didn't request it while placing the booking. The bathroom, a wet room with wheelchair accessable shower and toilet, emergency pull cords at every corner (not great for a curious two year old). The bathroom floor had a good covering of black hair from the previous guest and the glasses provided still had lipstick marks on them. When this was mentioned the receptionist sent a cleaner to the room to clean the bathroom while we were there, just what I wanted after a two hour trip. After the cleaner had left the job she had done was inadequate. I'd had enough by this point and my family and myself decided to go for a walk. On returning my room key wouldn't work so I had to get another from the front desk. After finally getting into the room I then took a shower and the fire alarm started going off which scared the life out of my two year old son. Wish I'd booked a Premier Inn. Would not recommend.

Good hotel. Stayed with lots of family for a wedding, so it was convenient that we were all at the same hotel. Not much to walk to from the hotel.

I didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t a mini fridge in the room, it was so warm that really would have benefited with having one. Apart from that everything else was really good - staff, service, room and atmosphere. Me and my friend enjoyed a much deserved night away from our families. Thank you
