Le Mirabeau - Hotel & Spa Zermatt

For us, Mirabeau is hands down a favourite in Zermatt. It's a short distance from the train station - just far enough so one doesn't hear trains; close to main streets and both the Sunegga and Gornergrat bahns. The welcome is lovely, especially for canine friends (who also get water and food bowls and their own blanket), and the rooms are splendid, both roomy and well-appointed. We stayed in the annex, just above the spa, with its sauna, steam rooms, shower, relaxation rooms and a splendid outdoor shower. Breakfast in the newly updated dining area is plentiful, with options for everyone. The owners and staff are all multilingual and welcoming. This family-run hotel is comfortable and upscale at the same time, and it was such a treat to come back to Matterhorn views and quiet, while being only steps away from the centre. Absolute highest ratings, and we keep coming back.

Really nice hotel! Very family friendly with great service and really good personel; well located near the railway station and mountain train stations; wellness available; a few rooms have Matterhorn view (limited); overall I can highly recommend

The hotel is family run and you can tell by the pride they take with customer service and the hotel itself. The room was excellent. We enjoyed an incredible dinner in each of their restaurants. Their breakfasts were a great way to start the day. We are already planning our next trip and we will stay at the Mirabeau.

Stay one night only but the room was cosy and comfortable. Lucky to have been upgraded to the family room as it had a lovely view of the Matterhorn. The room had all the amenities - bath, coffee, cosy 4-seater round table, etc. Spacious but most of all very cosy. Conveniently located - 5 minutes walk from the train station, shops, restaurants.

A very nice and cozy family owned hotel, with a friendly and attentive service team. Food is great and location is great too - walking distance from the Zermatt Banh and Gornergrat. Would be my first choice if I get to Zermatt again in the future.

I originally booked a single room for my wife and I not knowing that two people can't stay in a single room. The hotel and I were in communication and we decided to spend 412 CHF/night for the wonderful junior suite with a Matterhorn view. I cannot tell you how charming and wonderful the room and hotel is. Zermatt is beyond beautiful and the hotel staff go beyond their duties to make you feel special. I have stayed at 5 star hotels that never make you feel this nice. It is a pricy place to stay but everywhere in Zermatt is.

The Mirabeau is located very close to the train station and restaurants, without being on the main strip. It is a very short (5 min.) flat walk to both. The hotel is clean, the staff are incredibly friendly and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast was delicious and offered a bit more variety than the typical European breakfast you might find in other places. The view from the breakfast room is magnificent! The variety of spa rooms were also a real treat. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples and families.
