Alpen Resort Zermatt

This stay was incredible. The shuttle from the train was so easy and convenient and our driver was SO friendly. The rooms were amazing for families with kids. We had a view of the Matterhorn from our deck. The pool was amazing and as it’s indoor we could use it no matter what. Our first night we ate downstairs in the pub and our server was incredible. If I ever make it back to Zermatt, there’s no where else I’d rather stay.

Charming hotel with 2 restaurants on site, gorgeous pool, afternoon tea and chess. Room was very spacious and perfect for our family. Town is walkable from hotel. Delicious breakfast buffet included. Really lovely stay.

We booked june 26-28 thru terrible Expedia. There was a flood calamity thatvtime they close somw roads going to that hotel so we canceled our booking. They agreed to refund us but to initiate refund i have to oay penalty fee so I did .After 2 days they said they will not refund even they gave me confirmation for the refund .My family was disappointed imagine the fear and looking for a place to stay that time because the the flood and even the train we booked refunded us but this hotel and Expedia did not look at after the safety and comfort of their customers. They are after their business and money .They don't really care the vacation that every family has prepared and in the event of inevitable circumstances like natural disaster they don't really care as long as you paid them.The hotel asking me to review my stay .They should stop deceiving people especially famijy with kids traveling from another country like us.

Very nice hotel. Comfortable, safe, clean. Great breakfast. Awesome spa and game room. 5-10 minute walk to beginning of shopping/restaurant district and 15 minute walk to Sunnegga for train access to ski area. Very friendly staff. Good for larger groups and small kids too. But there were older couples as well. We will likely stay there again.

Alpen resort was by far the best hotel I’ve been to. The room, pool & spa were all very clean and well-maintained. The spa here was the highlight of my Zermatt trip. The shuttle service is very convenient, and if you don’t have too much luggage, you can walk to/from the station! I’d HIGHLY recommend this place to all my friends and family and I’ll definitely stay here if I visit Zermatt again!

We had a wonderful stay and would return any time! Really impressed with the vegan option in the Hornox restaurant... check them out! The spa is amazing... and our 1.5-year old loved the children play areas! All the staff has been fantastic! Thank you and until next time...

Very impressed with this hotel. Top notch modern facilities in the heart of the Alps. Great view of the Matterhorn's tip from the terrace. We stayed in the family suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommend it to families visiting Zermatt. Will stay here again if we come back here, which we hopefully will. It's a serenely beautiful place!

We are a family of five and I booked a family room (for 4). The hotel added one more bed for us and provided an additional kid’s bath robe for my little one. The room was spacious, very nicely renovated and clean. At night, we enjoyed the hotel facilities such as the pool and steam room. Location of the hotel is convenient to walk to the Main Street. Staff were all very friendly and we appreciated the shuttle service from and to the train station.

The rooms were great - Clean, big, well laid out. Perfect for a family. Location was at the far end of town but still walkable to everything. Breakfast was hearty. Great value for the price.
