Good location to catch your flight with late check-out and shuttle to airport. Easy check-in with welcome gift for the kids. Good food at restaurant. Nice room.

Finished to a high standard and very family friendly. Excellent hotel breakfast. Super convenient for the airport. An oasis of comfort in the middle of our long journey!

My kids were over the moon for the bunk beds in the family room! The staff at check in were so kind and gave us little gifts for the girls including coloring books with crayons. Walking distance from the airport is a big plus too!

I wanted to say that it is a good Hotel but the room architecture for Family room is disapointing
Your bathroom and toilet is right in the room to the point that no one feels comfortable using it the separation between the children room is open with no cotton to give some level of privacy. If you are charging 260 a night for the room you can make it more comfortable but it is ozk never again.
I will book two rooms in another excellent zhotel

The check in process was not the greatest, the lady that checked us in was not the most welcoming and friendly. The property is fantastic the service lacks however, no English speaking staff outside of the front desk. I was in my room and put my baby to sleep, the housekeeping was in the corridor, the front desk person gave an additional key bc I requested a late check-out. The sign was hang on the door so the baby could sleep a little before a long flight, I walked out in the hallway on the second level to the housekeeping to ask for more tissues as the box was empty and had only a couple of tissues left, literally 30 seconds - I came back to the door and the key deactivated- I panicked - the baby was on the bed surrounded by pillows but nevertheless she could wake any second and could start looking for me - I was in the sports bra - ran to the housekeeping begging to open the door they refused even though they just saw me and gave me the bottle of water and I thanked them with some tip money , I said baby baby is inside please open the door the key doesn’t work they didn’t speak any English and were just staring sending me to the front desk I ran to the front desk in my bra and said please please activate my room key asap the baby is inside the room alone asleep on the bed - the gentleman at the front activated my room key - my heart was racing ,I ran back - the baby was asleep - I don’t remove myself from the blame, but the consequences could have been severe!!!

The hotel is an excellent option if you are flying out early in the morning. The breakfast starts at 4am and the shuttle runs every 10-15 mins. You can also walk from the hotel to the airport, it takes 5 minutes.
Both the restaurant and the bar have excellent menu options. My only complaint, which is minor, was that the indoor pool is not open to kids after 4pm. I was travelling with a 12 and 16 yr old whom would have enjoyed it, but nothing to change my perception of the property.

The hotel was very clean and close to the airport. The instructions on the Expedia site did not lead me to a phone for calling the hotel for my pick up. It also could have listed the ability to talk to it so I didn't bother locals to help me in the garage for the pickup and ultimately phoning the hotel for me. Our pickup driver was very nice. No instructions were given on the special way the elevator worked or how the room numbers were listed on the floor instead of a wall or door. The shower is tricky and unfortunately we did not get the overhead shower to work, but did get the want to work. They do not use washcloths in Portugal, so a face towel is the smallest and equal to a childs bath towel. Nice room and items are supplied for washing body and hair. Would use this hotel again if necessary.

Location is great for arrival or departure but not great for longer stays as it’s not in a walkable area of the city. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant and meals were very good. Our only complaint was the bathroom setup. The shower and toilet area each have a frosted door and it’s out in the open in the room. No door dividing the bathroom area from the rest of the room; very inconvenient for showering and getting dressed in front of your children.

We booked the Melia Aeroporto because we needed a hotel for the night prior to our return to the U.S. For that, it was fine, but the staff at the front desk was unnecessarily rude and brusque. For a hotel near an international airport, their English was very poor. The room was adequate although our door to the hallway was broken. We had hoped to have enjoyed a last meal with our family before we went our separate ways, but the food in the restaurant was terrible and the service even worse. The dining room was chaotic - the bottle of wine we ordered never arrived. We waited more than 30 minutes between finishing our starter course and our entree course. Breakfast the next morning, though, was quite good.
