Met Hotel Amsterdam

The hotel is just 10 minutes from the airport. The Rijksmuseum, located in the city center, is around 15 minutes away by tram (number 1), and tram number 17 goes to the central station and DAM SQUARE. You only need to walk 7-10 minutes from the hotel to the tram/metro station. The hotel is really clean, and the service is also very good and nice. We stayed there for 4 nights and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Would recommend this hotel as a base. It is some 15 / 20 minutes on the tram into the centre but easily accessible as the public transport is so good. The hotel is very modern, very welcoming and we had a family room (2 kids aged 9 & 12) and would stay again. It is in the middle of a large residential area of blocks of flats and can appear a little interesting but it is safe and appearances are worse than the reality. Very safe, local bakery nearby and walkable to the trams and trains. We don’t eat in the hotel due to constantly being out exploring Amsterdam. We’d stay again and it beats the neon lights and average hotels in downtown city.

Met has got to be one of the best hotel experiences I have had. It's super clean, spacious, modern & overall amazing! The food at their restaurant is really good friendly staff! They even gave me a free drink for my birthday :)!!! I will definitely be recommending the Met to all my friends & family!

Hotel and staff were great. The room was amazing and very large for the 4 of our family members. The bathrooms were very modern and clean as well. Breakffast was great too with lots of selection. Very close to metro transit and about 10 minute ride to downtown

The staff were very helpful particularly with car parking. The family no window room was clean and a lovely space (No fridge?) We loved the architectural use of solar tubes that bring sunlight into a room with no windows. (They don’t completely close so a small amount of light enters in the morning…a bit like the amount that would be visible around a closed curtain…so you wake up to real light). The only minor downside was an 8 minute walk to tram or tube but our late teen children were more than happy to walk that distance. The surrounding area is quiet, has a supermarket, a bike hire shop and a bakery very close by. We used the restaurant in the first night of our stay. The food was delicious. All in all, a great place to stay and the perfect base for our break.

Very close to airport, supermarket a 2 minute walk away, and some of the most friendly staff I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. We had our baby with us and they provided the crib as promised. Would highly recommend.
