Treat me as family

If you are staying in a budget this hotel would be a good choice. Close to the ferry terminal and next to the Cozumel plaza the location is great. Also staff are friendly. The best part about this hotel is their breakfast which was really nice. They had sit down breakfast everyday of tea/coffee/juice, fresh fruits, bread basket and a choice of eggs, pancakes, french toast, chillaquiles etc that you can choose and they make it to order. There is a nice bakery adjacent to the property with fresh bakes every day. The roof top is also nice with great views of the ferrys and cruises docked at Cozumel. However the property is pretty dated and needs major upgrades. The elevator is old and slow almost feels like it might stop working at any time. Rooms are dark with low lighting. A small window with no views. Beds are not super comfortable. Also there is a very loud karaoke bar right opposite to the hotel that was playing loud music and drunk singing till 3AM. So not recommended for families with children or who need peace and quiet to sleep.

Hotel Plaza Cozumel is a family owned hotel occipital and operated by the family. Each room includes a full sized refrigerator which is certainly a convenience. Its location downtown also makes it nice for catching the ferry or going for walks. The people there are always polite and helpful and they have a wonderful complimentary breakfast. I love the rooftop pool with the beautiful view of the sea. I have stayed there many times and it has always been clean and bug free.

We enjoyed everything about this cute hotel! From the moment we checked in, the receptionist was super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the a/c was cold. Beds were firm, but comfortable, breakfast was wonderful with traditional Mexican dishes and American options. We were a family of 4, and will definitely stay here again. Plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and the ferry was across the street. The kids enjoyed the rooftop pool. If we had questions about places to go and things to do, no one hesitated to answer. Super friendly staff all throughout.

From start to finish, a fabulous stay. As a solo traveler, I always felt safe. The front desk team was very helpful as well. Breakfast was plentiful and the service was efficient. I was sad to check out as I felt like family. They even arranged to have my laundry done on the last day for a very fair price.

Right in the middle of downtown. Short walk to shopping, dinning, drinking, and dancing. Would recommend to friends and family. Pool on roof has great view and breakfast has about 6 to 8 different options.
