The Westin Resort & Spa Puerto Vallarta

I thought the staff was fantastic. They were very friendly and helpful. They worked hard to keep everything going. I didn't know they were renovating so we heard construction going on all day long. The pool is slippery with so many undulations that I was worried about my family slipping and falling. The rooms are old and dated. I'm not a fan of wet tile. too dangerous. Not a big fan of the Iguanas crapping in and around the pool. Personally I like the Mariott better.

Great pool area, dinner was fantastic, breakfast brunch was just okay. Service is a little slow but otherwise good. Fire alarm went off one night and we lost WiFi one morning but otherwise it was a very nice stay. My only complaint was the kids didn’t seem to stay to the kids pool

We had an amazing 5 night stay here at the Westin. My kids had a blast. Transportation to the central was cheap and easy and we could come back to peace here at the hotel!!! We will def return

We have been Puerto Vallarta twice a year for since our son was two years old (he is 10 now). This one we picked for the location because it was closer to the airport and shopping mall and the like being in marina city. We used to love somewhat isolated area where all your activities happen at the resort (such as Marival, Riviera Hilton in Puerto Vallarta), and recently our family found fun walking around where we stay and find local restaurants so we picked this one. There are nothing around the Westin Resort other than one Mexican restaurant and an Oxxo convenient store. Not just that, construction is everywhere. We booked Grand Suite, and we did not even have room number attached by our door. Whole 14 floor was on construction, and I paid more to reserve a Grand Suite that does not have stairs, but when we arrived they said there is no such a suite, and all have stairs. Then, why different prices for the same Grand Suite? I really regretted staying at the Grand Suite. There were two restaurants (one is a bar at the lobby actually) opened because of the construction. They were overly priced, and we had to wait an hour to have food.This is not a resort for family with children. As a mother, proper food for my child on our vacation is when my vacation starts. We ended up going to the Galleria Shopping mall by Taxi everyday to have lunch. We will just go back to Grand Velas Riviera or around that area. At least they have food and nice beach for our family.

The Westin is a destination hotel. In every way we enjoyed our stay and have each time we've been here. The combination of features makes this resort magical and restorative. The Spa massages on the beach for instance were out of this world, both Arturo and Lourdes were amazing. Ordering food by the pool and eating at the restaurants were excellent. We will return here again and again and our adult children also love the Westin and feel the same way.

I paid full sea view room but they gave me pool view. After one night they transfer me to another room. Plus totally false advertising They charge me almost $700 for 2 adults and one kids food which is ridiculous. Even on USA you can’t spent that amount of money. I am just highly frustrated and angry. Never going to be with them and Expedia too.
