AX The Palace

The staff at this hotel has been absolutely wonderful. We were here for three days when unfortunately the weather was terrible, so we were so lucky to have indoor amenities like the pool and spa as well as multiple restaurant options to choose from. The room is extremely nice however, not to the level that I would equate a typical five star property. Definitely a 4 though. I would say this is a four-star property that gets five stars for value because the price is fantastic. We stayed in Feb 2022 and paid only €90 per night and that was for an upgraded room. Breakfast was very good. Restaurants were great as well and very reasonable on price. It seems everything in Malta is quite reasonably priced compared to the rest of Europe. Indoor pool is great…..although lots of small kids on the weekend. It’s too cold today to use the outdoor facilities, but the rooftop pool looked like it would be wonderful in summer. I highly recommend this property to anyone based on value for the money.

A hotel that you can trust - if you need something, they will organise it for you. Maybe not perfect quality, but hey, it’s something worth appreciating. And facilities are all there - rooms are great (size, quality etc.), 2 restaurants (standart upper class for dinners Wed - Sat), gym, indoor pool, rooftop pool, 2 bars (ground rooftop).. Nothing to complain about. You can only compare it with something else, but comparison is always subjective. It’s not good or bad, subjective explains how it works exactly for you. And this hotel worked for our family.

Fantastic staff, particularly Dominika who hugely helped me with kids breakfast. I thought the attitude of all staff I interacted with was admirable and friendly. The pool area on level 9 was great too. Lovely large rooms and sea views
