Was really disappointed to find out the pool has a huge fee for using it for 6 hours and you have to reserve it, plus kids under the age of 16 can only be there a limited time - it didn’t say when we booked it!
Hotel staff was nice and breakfast as well.

The hotel is nice. Very clean and I had a beautiful view of the bay.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the Yurikamome Train - 3 mins walk. However, if you're going into the city center, it really is a "journey". It can take anywhere from 25 to 35 mins to make it to your connecting trains. Add another 10-15 mins to your next stop. In total, it can take 35-50 mins to most Tokyo attractions. Not ideal for younger children.
I also had a minor issue at check-in. I had booked the hotel through Hotels.com for 2 adults and 2 kids and paid for breakfast for 4 quests. When I got there, the room that I had booked apparently only had 3 beds and made for "3 guests". Therefore I only got vouchers for 3 guests for breakfast. They were able to "push the beds together" and "made exceptions" to give me additional breakfast vouchers that I already paid for...When they pushed the beds together, you can sleep up to 6 (they did try to upsell me to a room that was 4 times bigger than what I had for twice the cost).
Breakfast was also mediocre. None of the hot items were really hot. They were luke warm and sometimes cold - for example, the bacon, sausages, and fries were barely warm.
Read the fine print...the pool is not free. I tried to take our family to the pool only to find out that you have to make reservations and it costs 5000 yen per person ($US32/person), not the 2200 that is advertised. Even as a guest, there are no discounts.
If we go back it will not be at this hotel.

All in all we had a nice stay at Grand Nikko. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. For our next stay in Tokyo we have chosen a more central hotel, since it does take time to go to Daiba by train. The station is right near the hotel though, which is nice. Also easy to get to Haneda airport from the hotel.
Breakfast was okay, but we have had better for a 5 star hotel.
The pool was nice, but we only went there once, since “kids” up to sixteen years old are not allowed to ude the poolafter 17.00 o’click. Also you have to pay to use the pool, and even 3000 yen extra per person if you want a sun bed. So all in all not what we expected.

The room we stayed has amazing bay view of the Rainbow Bridge, is very clean & has a nice bathroom. The hotel has a walkway bridge connected to a train exit called 'Daiba Station' (Yurikamome Line). It is also within walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions such as the Statue of Liberty, Rainbow Bridge, Aqua City Odaiba, DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, Decks Tokyo Beach and many more. There are various restaurants & a Lawson convenience store at the hotel entrance. You can also inquire and avail of the airport shuttle to Haneda or Narita Airport from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel for families.

We were staying in Tokyo for 8 nights, this was a family trip. Great location at Daiba, monorail station between the Tokyo Daiba and Hilton hotels, area around the hotels provides nice walks along the waterfront and plenty of retail therapy if you need it. Hotel facilities were good,we included breakfast as we had our 2 teenage boys, breakfast was well worth it. Only bugbear was gym and pool facilities had to be paid separately and were approx £10 a visit, my son and I used this once, the pool was good the gym basic - not sure worth £20. We used the Limousine bus service from/to Haneda, approx £4pp, took about 40 mins door to door. We did travel about Japan, staying here means you have to take the monorail, bus or taxi to one of the main JR stations, wasn’t an issue for us, just something to bear in mind. Loved our trip and if we went again would stay at this hotel again

Do NOT stay with children at this hotel, they are banned from lounges, bars, leisure and swimming pool. They don’t tell you this when booking, they are rude staff, taking soft drinks off the kids and ignore you!
