Whilst Liber Hotel is about 10 min walk further feom Universal than other hotels, this slight inconvenience was certainly worth it when entering what was a very impreasive hotel. Our room overlooked the park and whilst slightly small for a family of 4 we all managed fine.
Great onsite facilities onsite as well, with a couple of convenience store close by.
Evening bugget meal was very good if slightly pricey. breakfast was a little more limited although still more than adequate.

I’m thrilled to share the unforgettable experience my family and I had in Japan! Watching our children embrace the culture, navigate the yen currency, and master the transportation system was incredibly rewarding. There were moments when I got us lost, but our brilliant kids always managed to get us back to our hotel. Their expressions of awe and excitement were priceless—“Wow, Mom, we’re really in Japan!”
My husband and I never imagined we would have the courage to embark on a 26-hour flight across the world, but now we are eager to explore more countries. The warmth and respect we received from the locals, combined with the pristine cleanliness of the environment, made our stay exceptional.
Our adventures took us to Super Nintendo World, Namba, Dotonbori, Osaka, and many other cities. And let me tell you, 7-Eleven in Japan is a game-changer! We’d grab about 25 meals and snacks for no more than $45 each time—delicious and affordable.
We stayed at the lovely Liber Hotel in Osaka, which featured an indoor hot spring that the girls and I enjoyed every single night. It was pure relaxation. Despite a bout of motion sickness, the local pharmacists and doctors were incredibly helpful, recommending effective herbal remedies and providing a unique sightseeing opportunity.
Feeling safe was a constant during our trip, even when we roamed the streets late at night. The peace and tranquility were astonishing.

Wow! We loved our stay at Liber Hotel. The size of the room compared to Tokyo hotels was big and super comfortable for a family with 2 little ones. It was a beautiful hotel everything was super new looking and felt like you were staying at a high class hotel. The staff was amazing and always attentive. The cafe had take out that was great after a long day at universal. Lots of food for a great value! The bathroom was super comfortable and the kids loved the bath. It was about an 18 minute walk to universal which allowed us to be there before the crowds. Liber is also right in front of the Sakurajima Station which gives you easy access to the rest of what Osaka has to offer. There also two convenient stores near by for on the go breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Osaka to visit Universal Japan.

We chose this hotel since it is a partner hotel for Universal Studios Osaka and we spent 4 nights in Osaka with 2 days in Universal. We got a gorgeous view of the Universal park from our hotel window. You can walk to the park but in the summer, the 15-min walk might be too much. We took the train as it was just the station before this hotel and runs every 10-15 mins. The hotel looks grand and it’s clean. The rooms are spacious (we are a family of 3 with one teenager so we needed 3 beds) and they are generous with the amenities. They replace toothbrushes, slippers, etc. every day. They even have pain relieving packs. However, the laundry area is ALWAYS packed during the tourist season. You have to really stand guard over your laundry otherwise, others will ask the hotel staff to take them away and you might end up with missing stuff. It’s best to do your laundry mid-day or near midnight.

We loved the option of a large family room (6 beds and sunken living room). The room was immaculately clean and so spacious. This is a beautiful hotel and is right across the street from the train station. Additionally, the train station is one stop from Universal Studios Japan making it so easy to go to/from USJ. We loved everything about this hotel, including the wonderful breakfast buffet, laundry facilities, and all the friendly staff.

Liber Hotel was the perfect place to base ourselves for our 4 days in Osaka. Perfectly located next to Sakurajima station and one stop away from Universal Studios, it was the perfect spot for our family of 7. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the rooms clean and comfortable. Would happily stay here again.

My family and I absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Liber hotel. Walkable and convenient access to the train station (right across the street!). Universal Studios is one train stop away and the Kaiyukan area (where the huge mall and Osaka aquarium are) is easily accessible by ferry.
We loved the thoughtful touches our room had, like the kid’s sized hotel robe set and toothbrush/strawberry flavored toothpaste for our toddler. We felt so welcome there. Facilities were very clean and modern, the food was amazing with multiple options and attentive staff. I also personally enjoyed the hot springs (onsen). We really loved this hotel and will gladly recommend to everyone we know.

We spent the last two weeks in Japan with a family of five and this is by far and away the best hotel to accomodate families. The rooms are twice the size of others and actually have a proper lounge area which is an absolute rarity. Whilst not on the door step of Universal, it’s only one train stop away which takes 3 minutes. Would definitely stay here again.

We (family with primary school-aged kids) stayed for 3 nights. We had a single bed each and there was plenty of room for luggage. It was quite spacious and comfortable. We also did a load of laundry and the hotel was able to provide 100yen coins for the washer and dryer machines. The staff were all helpful - I asked a fair few questions.
The hotel is very close to convenience stores, which is where we got our snacks and meals from.
The only thing I will say is that it’s a long walk from the entrance to Universal Studios so we decided to catch one stop to Universal City station and it was a short walk from there.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
