I usually never write a review. This time I truly have to. I visited Rome with my two teenage kids. I booked 3 nights with this hotel. We only stayed 1 and I rebooked for the rest with another hotel. All expenses on me. This is how bad the experience with this hotel was. I also travel a lot and this has not happened yet. So, the room was clean. That’s all that’s positivity about this hotel. It was very old, the air conditioning did not work. There was nothing to drink in the minibar. No soap in the toilet. The beds were so dirty and very hard to sleep on. We did not even have a duvet but a quilt that was 50 years old and also just not nice to wrap around in. When I asked the reception for a fork so we could eat our takeaway food they sent me to the restaurant next door. (Probably the same owner) who gave me quite angry 10 mins to eat and come back with the fork again. Next morning when checking out we did not even get an hello at the reception and the cleansers would not even move their things so that we could pass. They did not even ask why we are already leaving. Everything was really really bad.

This hotel was a great location one block from termini station and 30 min walk to coliseum Spanish steps piazza Navona etc… The front desk staff seems to be all family and they treat you that way. The room service was done every day and they cleaned the rooms quite well. If you are coming to Rome please consider this hotel as it will check all your boxes. Luca his father and mother I assume, were all excellent hosts. If you have a chance eat next door at the family Italian restaurant.

Different! Had some issues. Toilet seat moved a lot so ‘risky!’ Toilet stopped flushing so receptionist came and wobbled it and it worked again. Told only to use full flush! Shower head wobbly. Door card stopped working so didn’t have access to room without going to ask ‘to be let in!’ We asked for it to be repaired, nothing happened. Complained. They weren’t happy! Eventually we got given a key and told not to lose it. Breakfast… well… not good! The older man (we think all are family) and we think his wife argued loudly while we ate breakfast one day, quite close to us. Another day the lady stood shouting at a customer while we ate breakfast… oh my… not a nice relaxing experience ! A refund would be rather nice but…. We wouldn’t go again. The director tried his best to be nice I must say but wasn’t an experience I want to repeat!

Very convenient to the Roma Termini train station. The family that owns this property is very welcoming. The father is very friendly and gives you first class service when serving the breakfast included with the room. The cappuchinos were fantastic. They also own a restaurant that has fabulous food for an extremely reasonable price.

The manager is amazing. Even when expedia guarantees me that a change has been made and I can book the day before, when I check in you they not have any reservations for that night for my family. They make an effort and gave me temporary rooms for that night to settle us. Very attentive. The cleanliness is amazing. You can see how hard the room service girls work.

Our first time to Rome and we wanted to stay close to the train station. We choose Hotel Valentino Palace and could have not found a better family run friendly place to stay. Luca the hotel owner looked after all our needs. He and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Our room was very well laid out and clean. The restaurant next door run by his father is a great little gem. I did read on other reports that people were concerned about the area. We had no issues! It is a big city and you have to be mindful of the people around you like any other big city. They are doing renovations which did not cause us any disturbances. It is great to see that they are investing back into the business!

The hotel is a family owned hotel in the heart of Rome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, if a little small by North American standards. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant downstairs provided an excellent breakfast everyday. The owner of the hotel runs the restaurant. They were so friendly and welcoming. When they found out it was my birthday the owner serenaded me. It felt like family 😀. The food is outstanding, with generous portions.
