Check in is 3:30 but our room wasn’t ready til 3:55pm .. room was spotless clean and the bunk beds were a big hit but for a family room we had no WiFi.. kids not impressed! Rang reception and they gave me the corporate WiFi code but connection would cut out after 5 seconds .. no phone service either in our room .. room 1096.. seemed to be a black hole for any sort of reception ! Pool closes at 7 for kids so something to be aware of .. only a 3 hour window between us getting our room and having to exit pool .. kids were hungry in between so they didn’t get much time in pool .. again in morn rushed from breakfast to pool and check out is 11:30am . Seemed to have a nice kids club and we ate in the restaurant and food was nice

Stayed for one night end of June - Great hotel for family - short walk into city, great staff and fantastic entertainment on Saturday night! Great buzz in hotel due to a kids football tournament staying which added to the atmosphere..Can’t comment on food as we didn’t eat in.

I stayed 5 nights here in an adjoining room with my 3 kids. The beds were very comfortable and I liked how there were various pillow options. The daily room refresh was lovely and my kids LOVED their pool (it was super warm - the only pool my 8 month old has liked so far). It was also so nice they had a laundry room on site (just bring your room key and your own detergent). There were two washers and two dryers. We had already been traveling for two weeks upon our arrival so it was really nice being able to run two loads of laundry! The laundry room is a bit hard to locate but an extremely kind staff member walked us all the way to the “d wing” and showed us how to fine it. The breakfast is okay - not the best food but not bad. The service was prompt though. Our dinner there I had the baked cod and it was phenomenal. My sons ordered the burger and chicken goujons and both kids’ meals were left wanting (just not great quality or great tasting). The hotel is 7-10 mins from downtown and I could always find a parking spot. Very easy spot to get to places around Galway.

This hotel was ok. It’s old and comfy but it was warm in the room and halls. My biggest complaint about this hotel is the lack of a working laundry facility. I kept being told there were two, one on the 2nd floor and one on the 3rd. There wasn’t one on the 2nd and there was a sign indicating it had moved to the 3rd. After a wash, I spent three hours trying to dry clothes in a dryer that didn’t work. They had two washers and two dryers but neither dryer worked (several people also tried) so my room was scattered with wet clothes overnight. I wouldn’t advise being around the hotel on Saturday when they hold communion parties. There were screaming kids running around everywhere.

Hotel was bright and clean, family room was perfect! Breakfast was good - would be good to offer pancakes for younger children as they found it hard to find something - good for adults Location is excellent and near bus stops.

Unfortunately we will not be staying again. Check in was rushed with minimal information given. Our room was very far away from the lobby and difficult to find. A made of doors lifts and hallways. Things didn’t improve when we got into our room. It was a bit neglected. Burn hole in the net curtain, one curtain was falling off so it didn’t close properly, damp/dirt on the artwork… The bathroom looked dated and a bit miserable. Even had water damage on door. Breakfast was ok. But it took ages to be given a table despite having booked a breakfast time slot in advance. Another family member stayed at the hotel the same night and paid half the price for the same room. They too booked online. For this reason and those listed above we will dot be staying again, nor would I recommend staying they. On check out the person at reception didn’t even ask how our stay was. Just took the key cards and said nothing. Customer service as non existent.

Our check in was very smooth. Issue with the shower… couldn’t be properly adjusted and the shower curtain was just a curtain so the floor was wet after taking a shower. Bed was big and comfortable. Sadly no closets in the room but there were places to hang clothes. Hair dryer in a drawer was a bit odd. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately we did not know that breakfast was not included in our room rate until we went for breakfast the next morning. Restaurant was nice and the food was good. Guinness at the bar was tasty. Would recommend… Hotel seems corporate but is family friendly.

Galway is a fabulous place to visit, there will be live music wherever you go. The history is interesting, and the atmosphere is buzzing. There are many places to eat and drink and everyone is friendly and really helpful. This is a large family hotel with family themed activities. Hotel staff were helpful and courteous. We will return.

This seems to be great for families. If you like being around kids it is likely great. I didn’t mind that, but the property is large and hard to navigate and not fully accessible (there are elevators but doors to the far-away wing must all be hand-opened). It is also farther away from the main part of Galway than I expected, and the buses are on a busy street. I think it could work for done, just not me. NOTE: the staff were LOVELY! .

I was there for a short business visit. This hotel is fine for families, and there were many staying there. My biggest complaint was that the rooms are not well sound isolated. I could hear my neighbours quite well. The staff were not as friendly as I would hope, but it was quite busy during my stay.
