Flannery's Hotel Galway

We tried to find a last-minute stay in the city centre of Galway but nothing was available. We wanted a higher-end hotel and were skeptical about this place but booked it anyway. We were pleasantly surprised and had no regrets! The restaurant and bar provided good food (try Frankie’s original Pizza) and service, the front desk was attentive and helpful, and the suite we booked with multiple beds was way more spacious and comfortable than we anticipated. Just be careful in the shower - SO slippery. Beds were comfy, as well as comforters. There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel that will get you to the city center in 10 minutes. But be aware that the cars fly by and do NOT stop to let you cross. We also used Free Now app to grab taxis. The hotel was also a pickup spot for Galway Tour Company’s Cliffs of Moher, so that was super convenient. There are also two big rugby fields directly next to the hotel and we had fun watching the little kids and adults play their games.
