We stayed here this week on a one-night stopover in Iceland on our way from the UK to the USA. This was one of the more cost-effective locations for a family of four to stay in, was an easy drive to the airport the next morning, and close enough to the city to enjoy the sights the day we were in town. The beds were comfortable and the front desk very friendly. They even prepped a "to go" bag with our breakfast since we had to leave before it started.

Hotel Vellir was an amazing hotel. Very modern. Very contemporary. Very accomodating. The rooms are quite spacious and we had ample bedding for a family of five (our toddler of 4 years old slept with Mom in bed). Breakfast was decent. Nothing extravagant (no hot items). Mostly bread, deli meats, cereal, oatmeal, croissants, and pastry items. Hotel Vellir was a perfect location for us between the Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik. Overall, it was a nice stay.
