Had a great time staying here our last night in Iceland. Close to the airport, and we had some great options for dining about 3 miles away. The kids loved the lofts in the room, and the property had a ton of personality. Great location right on the water.

We loved the location, it’s very unique looking hotel and the room was very comfortable for our family of 4. Highly recommended.

Room was very cute and super clean. Easy drive to the city but right on the ocean and very quiet. Seems like it would be a fun place to have a family event.

I travel bi-weekly for work and 3-4 times/year for leisure. I’ve never had such horrible customer service from a hotel and ExpediaforTD “24/7 support” in all my experiences. After travelling for almost 24hrs with a young family, we arrive to our “superior” room and it looks nothing like the ExpediaforTD or hotel website photos—primarily because it’s missing TWO of the three beds advertised! We paid extra for this needed additional space half a year in advance of this trip. To say we were disappointed is a gross understatement. The hotel has no staff on site and phones were not being answered, so email-only communication had its own challenges. Ultimately, after much more time and effort than should be necessary on vacation, the hotel confirmed their mistake but also said they could/would do nothing about it—Not so much as a discount was offered for the error. ExpediaforTD sadly repeated steps already undertaken and also failed to return calls.
Long story short—we got out of this place ASAP, booked last minute elsewhere directly with the hotel, and had a delightful and welcoming stay in a lovely alternative that was actually as advertised.
I’ve never left a negative review for a product or service before but I would strongly recommend you AVOID Fisherman’s Village!

This is a quaint rustic property which has a strong sense of place. We had the family room which was spacious for 4 people.
The location and views are exceptional. We felt so lucky to stay there. The only suggestion I have is because it’s about 15 minutes from town being your snacks. Also the property should consider a microwave in the room, wine opener, and a few other things since the front desk is unstaffed.

Best part: Unique location surrounded by the north Atlantic on three sides. We even witnessed a distant volcanic eruption across the bay.
Worst part: The triangular windows had no coverings so we had the experience of all night daylight (July). The fridge was full of a previous guests food. The bathroom also full of someone else's toiletries. Upper sleeping quarters are not very ergonomic. Both kids smashed heads on the low ceiling. In the morning.
Otherwise it really is a cute little spot. There were horses in the surrounding fields and a pigeon coop on the property. The sea was very still and very little wind. We did not use the hot tub or sauna. I'd recommend a rental car if staying here. No meaningful services close by. 15 minute drive to Reykjavik. There is a small golf course next door, and its seemed open very late, maybe all night in this season.
Other than an email from the hotel, there was zero interaction with staff. Nobody seemed to be on site. Did not bother us, added to the remote charm.

We loved our stay at Fisherman's Village! The layout of our room was perfect for our family - there was a main living area, a big main floor bedroom and 2 loft sleeping areas. The beds were all super comfy. The bathroom was huge and included its own sauna (which was a pleasant surprise - I'm not sure if all the rooms include this or not). When we arrived, there was no key, so I called and within 5 minutes, someone knocked on the door with the key. This was one of the nicest places we stayed while we were in Iceland and we will definitely stay there again next time we go back!

I had the family room with private hot tub for myself and three kids. It was for our last night of our week in Iceland. If you are looking for a quiet place to watch for northern lights, this is it. We didn’t see the lights all week but the night we stayed here the lights were amazing. The sky is dark for viewing and no nearby mountains or buildings to block any views. I’d definitely stay here again. The only thing I’d mention is the stairs to the full beds upstairs are steep but my kids did fine with them.
