OKKO Hotels Paris Gare de l'Est

This is a 4 star hotel and it looks like it was put together with ikea or children’s furniture. Very small space and tight. It was noisy inside the hotel. This location was in a dangerous area in the city. It was however close to the metro, bus and train station

Hotel is beautiful and I felt very safe in the property. Location is a little dodgy because of the area and train stations. We did not go out after dark. Of course we chose it because of the closeness to the station made getting back to London easier. I stayed with my baby and husband. The hotel was clean, and accommodating to infant needs. I would’ve preferred a second floor to be off the ground floor but the windows don’t open all the way so we felt safe. The hotel does a great job at monitoring the property

We booked this hotel because it was close to the train station (5 minute walk max) and we had a young child and suitcases. The area the hotel was in didn't look pleasing and i can imagine that it may not be very safe at nighttime but the actual hotel was gated and secure from the streets. When you were in the hotel you would have never known the outside was there nor the fact you were close to the station - we didn't hear a thing!! The hotel is very modern, clean and smelt lovely. The pictures provided on hotels.com was a good representation. Our room was a good size and didn't feel too small even with a travel cot. The room had nice products in - they weren't travel size but instead a big bottle which got topped up. This didn't bother me as this was more eco friendly. The bed was lovely and comfy. The only downside would be that the room did not have a fridge and as we had a young child it would have been easier storing her milk in the room rather than taking it to reception for them to store. A|so we had a week stay and got to night and by night 4 still had the same bedding. It would have been a nice touch to have the bedding changed half way through the week stay. The massive bonus to this hotel was the food and drink included in the price. Breakfast was more continental with yoghurt, fruit, meat, salmon, bread and pastries but they did have bacon and egg as a hot option. The free drinks, coffee and snacks throughout the day were brilliant
